| I certainly wouldn't be up for changing our coach at this stage, but in all honesty we have performed well for one 40 minute session and a few odd bits dotted around this season. IMHO it simply isn't a good enough return on the squad we have.
We play some super stuff at times but we CANNOT defend and we couple that with our open door policy of handling errors and stupid penalties - as bad as any side I've watched at BV.
I'm afraid to say I am losing faith that this group of players can turn it around. I reckon there is a feeling from some that it will just come right as it did last year, but it won't without individuals contributing more and giving away less.
The nett result is that Agar has a job to do to avoid the pressure being ramped up on himself and the club!

1. Agree with your overall point, but I'd suggest that you can't have been watching very long if you think this bunch are as bad as that.
2. I think we're so think on the ground that it's inevitable that we're not consistent. The simple fact is that if Tim Smith isn't allowed space to perform then we're nothing. We're worse without Ellis, and the likes of Ali Lauitit, Peter Fox, and Paul Sykes are a year older. Washbrook has been my biggest disappointment this year.
3. Of course he's got a job to do. That's why we pay him. However I'm becoming tired of losing (and drawing) games we should be winning. Salford, Hull FC, and Huddersfield represent five lost points in my book.

Re point 1 - I was only referring to the ability to give stupid penalties - and yes, they are as bad and yes, I have been watching a fair while!
Smith / Lautiti / Fox / Sykes / Washbrook have all been poorer than last year. Lautiti continues to be a threat but he is stifled as we have so few options. Smith has rarely been fit and the others just haven't fired.
We will always be there, but there were a few at the Hull game who were grumbling.

We've got a hard game against Warrington but we've got winnable games after that against Widnes, Catalans at home, HKR and then Cas. So I'd hope we can win 2 of those before we meet back up with them.
Looking at their next few fixtures, they actually play the same teams as us with the exception of Warrington where they play Salford.
There's no doubt those games we should have won have put us in a tricky position, in the league and with fans staring to grumble. They need to pull their finger out and start putting in some winning performances, even if it's ugly.

cas have one in the last eighteen games just to put some context in place.

And a draw against Catalans. Don't kid yourself about Cas Tigers been anywhere near Wakey - your miles in front of us on and off the field. Our next coaching appointment is so important for us. Sounds like JK is the fans favourite - he certainly was on Boots N All last night.

| Loyalty is shown to certain few. But when you have such as Danny Cowling performing like he did on his debut , and then being back heeled it makes you wonder , Also Frankie being out of favour , I would have thought any coach worth his salt would have progressed him to a higher level of performance by now . . The tag of Favourites seems to have some substance , it seems once the knife is in it doesn’t come out . The complete failure on youth progression is also another concern . the 19s at Wigan on Saturday were atrocious and apart from Shulver and Doherty there aren’t ANY including Healy (lack of fitness) who in my opinion are anywhere near a full time contract .In essence it seems some of the staff especially the non playing staff (they could form an ex players association of their own) have fallen into the comfort zone .It’s hard to form an opinion on the 16s as they have only played one fixture but after watching the 16s international it would be a concern of how many of the England squad (of which there were 5 out of the Wakefield area) will actually be signed by us

| I feel certain that had Kear been in charge of this squad we would have been 4th or 5th at this moment as he could motivate players.Im sure Cas would be miles better with Kear at the helm to motivate them.

Even as a JK fan I wouldn't thought there was a chance he'd have us in 4th or 5th, squad not good enough or big enough to be up there imo.

| With the points we have dropped but should have had we would be about there not sying we would finish in that position but at this moment we have lost against Hudds giving silly points away that Kear would have sorted better. We had the side to beat Salford but thought it would be a walk in the park and got only 1 point. We could have taken Hull in the right frame of mind and feel we should have done Catalan in the right frame of mind.We look at times as though we arnt motivated enough to take the game by the scruff of the neck and stand hard and fast to grind wins out.

| It's all if's and maybe's & it's not as if things we're all rosy with JK, there were plenty of games under him we didn't turn up as well.
There were noises like this last season around this time, saying it would be so much better if JK was here.

| Am I the only person who thinks that JK, blessed be his name, is fast approaching dinosaur status? I realise I'm at risk of being lynched, but I can't see that his five drives and a kick method of grinding out a win would be compatible with players like Tim Smith and Big Ali.
I'm sure there'd be an initial reaction from the players if he goes to Cas, but I can't see his methods being the answer to their longer term problems.

We would not have the squad we have if JK was in charge, senior would be in instead of collis, no aiton or Tim smith and annakin would not have got a look in. Plus the rugby would be painful to watch and over a season we wud not be any better off in terms of league points and probably much worse off with points difference.
Not sure what the attraction to Kear is for wakey fans his tenure had definitely run its course

Yes and no.
To call him a dinosaur is a bit previous but he's probably lost his edge. He can still turn any club around IMO but move them to the top then I doubt it. He never had the cash that Agar has despite what you seem to believe but I'm not sure he'd do any better with it.
In true fickle fan style they all wanted rid 2 years ago, now enough time has elapsed he represents a long lost golden age to the exact same people - and that's from someone who didn't want JK to go.
Welcome to wacky wakey
