| Quote: wildshot "Hi Khlav, I appreciate the finances aren't up to us and I (we) are very grateful for this.
I don't apologise for my ambition for our club. I know we are not in the 1960's anymore but we used to get crowds over 20k then. We are in a catchment area comparable to Wigan. Long term I think we can regain dizzy heights again. Having the infrastructure can't do any harm.
Every journey begins with one step.'"
I appreciate your ambition but your not right on this one IMHO.
We will never average 12k IMHO although we may attain it for two or three games a season. I seriously doubt we will ever hit 15k unless we had sustained and massive success. For me 12k is more than adequate for our needs and the possibility of 15k is useful even if unlikely.
Also historically Wakefield have not been a well supported club. In the 1950's and 1960's we very occasionally hit or got above the 20k mark - however in those days that was the same for most clubs. Generally as far as I'm aware throughout our history we have not been up there with the Wigan's and the Leeds for the bulk of the time - I'm sure someone out there knows better than me so I'm willing to be corrected if I'm wrong.
For me we will never be one of the clubs who can guarantee big gates and thus fund our success. We will need to operate as a medium sized club and make up for it by being cannier and more efficient than the rest. We'll do OK I reckon.

The new ground is going to be on the old pit stacks. These are located to the right hand side when you travel from Aberford Road towards Methley. You will pass the row of houses to your right and then you will cross over an old railway line, the ground will be to your right and set back towards the river, kind of directly behind the row of houses.

The row of houses are on you're left as go to Methley, the only house on you're right is that 'face the future' business/house and it's behind that house the ground is going to be, almost backing up to Moorhouse estate.

| Hi,
What stage is your new stadium at? Am I right in thinking that all necessary funding is secure & your now waiting on planning permission?
Appologies if answered elsewhere, I've read the last 3/4 pages here, but all the talk was on corners and the stadium location.

AFAIK funding is secured to build a basic stadium, subject to planning permission, the bells and whistles funding is from grants, which again is subject to planning permission. The outline planning application is waiting to be rubber stamped subject to the 106 agreement and apparently the SOS is in possession of this so should be giving the green light soon.

Thanks KK.
Always happy to see RL clubs moving forward, particularly ones with such a rich history & tradition like WT.

| Was working at paragon last week and got talking to some York court people who informed me everything is going well we'll be hearing things very soon and we will be impressed with the plans, more sports facilities than just a stadium and a few organisations involved. All sounds good

| In a little over three weeks it will be a full six months since the SoS gave his conditional blessing. I understand the delay in getting the 106 agreement signed (have we had official confirmation from anyone on that yet) but some form of update from the parties involved would'nt be out of order after all 15,000 of us signed a petition that helped this pass the PI.

| Why not get down to the fans forum on Tuesday night then and ask the question of people who should know the answers and not people on here who, at the end of the day, are all just speculating!

Apparently James Elston said on Yorkshire Radio the 106 had been dated and was now in the possession of the SOS.

Hi Clan
As Khlav says, we have been told that the signed and dated S106 is with the SoS office and we have no reason to doubt this. This is a waiting game and we are just waiting for the SoS final nod now, which like M62 J30 Trinity, we hope will come sooner rather than later. I don't think there is much else that can be added to be honest Clan. Although, it might be that James can update the Supporters Trust meeting on the progress of other elements of Newmarket and the stadium design etc.

| Thanks for the update IA.
Maybe you can help with another couple of Qs?
In a few of the announcements i'm fairly sure Jimmy Elston talked about 2015 season at Newmarket - based on the few bits i'd heard isn't this way optomistic given the enabling project has to be built and a certain percentage of the units occupied first?
Secondly does anyone have an update on the finances of yorkcourt?
Apologies if you've been through this stuff before for other people.

Have a look on the Cas forum. You're bound to find the answer there.
