| Quote: Khlav Kalash "That was the guy who was speaking on Yorkshire Radio before the match. Annoying to say the least as I'm sure the July deadline was to allow Trinity time to secure an adequate replacement should Leeds decide to retain Amor. Now we're on the back foot again.'"
Agree, all very strange, it's not as if most fans weren't prepared for him going back and mostly expected it. As always it seems this is going to put us in a bit of a difficult place and like you say on the back foot.

| Quote: jack in the box "Whatever you say about Leeds I think they are a well run club and they usually have a small turnover in players. Looking at it from their side I find it hard to believe that they won't already have their squad organised for next season.
So from a Leeds perspective I can't believe they will not have decided by now and if Kyle was off back there we would have been informed.
This is no more than a bit of trickery from our side and Kyle is already staying.'"
I tend to agree with this.
If Leeds felt the need to appease their fans by recalling Amor now was the time. However if he isn't in their plans then letting him go right now would not please certain quarters. However should Leeds retain the title and have a top signing lined up then letting Amor go at the end of the season would go unnoticed by most.
Lets be realistic, good though Amor is at Leeds he'd still be a young fringe player. No way would he be guaranteed a start. I also think he'd struggle with the expectation. Hetherington will know this and will know that Amor is probably still a few years short of the maturity needed at a huge club like Leeds. He is not what Leeds need right now as they have too many youngsters in the first team already and for a prop Amor is young.
Let him stay with us another two years then attempt to pick him up as an OOC player when he will be starting to peak. I would.
Could work out for us fingers crossed.

| You'd have thought Amor would know right now which team he'd rather be at for the next couple of years and as far as messing with plans for next year, I think he'll make his decision sooner rather than later and that will give both sides plenty of time to make other arrangements if necessary.

| I hope he stays with us but for the good of the club they need to know who his choice is then they know that xyz players are available and if he stays we only need look at x and y for next season.

| it's a farce now. i hope jack in the box is correct in his thinking. i hope he's been sucking up to hetherington or some of his cronies for the inside line, but i doubt it. he hardly comes accross as that credible on here.
our complete focus now should be on next season. in many ways what steve ferres has done at cas, should serve as a very broad template. ship out those that are not here for next year, it's not like we're serious contenders for the league, we're out of the cup.
let's blood some kids, and have a good look at them before the rfl chop the academy system - so at least we can make a more informed choice about who should stay.
if amor is staying then play him, if he's not (and we know) send him back down the road.

| Lets hope that both clubs actually know where he is going to play next season and that, for whatever reason, they dont want to inform the fans, yet.
Altough Amor has been excellent for us this season, we cant afford to miss out on recruitment, just because Leeds wont make their minds up.
This looks like a very badly managed "transfer".

| No we don't send him back down the road if he's not playing for us next year, me personally I want to see us win as many games as we can, playing the best rugby we can, if we can continue the form we've showed over the rest of the season, it will be nothing but good for season ticket sales next year . There are loads of players leaving clubs at the end of the season but you don't see other clubs or fans saying leave him out if he's moving on, talk about biting you're nose off to spite you're face.

Well it's all on Amor's toes now isn't it, is this better for us, we'll see but like I said before Amor himself will want this sorting sooner rather than later for his own piece of mind.

Agreed, Amor has lead the line magnificently this season and you're quite right, we want to finish as high as possible in the league.
Our club is on a pretty steep upward curve at the moment and we need to keep the momentum going.

| As long as I've been watching the game one thing is a certainty, Leeds always get their man.
If Leeds have told Kyle they want him back then thats it. If Kyle messed them around by not making up his mind Leeds would either up their offer to beat us or tell him they were no longer interested.
There is no way Leeds would be dictated to by a player.
For that reason I still stand by my initial hunch and feel he's staying with us.

| the more i think about it the more i think he's staying, and this is james elston's latest hair brained scheme to have some positive pr to boost season ticket sales later in the year. had we lost on monday, i bet amor would have been announced.
pr is a fine balance, giving anticipation and positive news vs treating paying fans like idiots.

| I'm fairly relaxed about the delay - my feeling is that Kyle will be a Wakefield player next season and that this delay is to allow both clubs to release the news at a strategically appropriate time i.e for us to boost ST sales and for Leeds, just after they announce the signing of a big name Aussie prop.

| Kyle will be part of the Official Leeds party at Wembley this year just as he was at last year's and the Grand Final. Unless we re-visit his contract and offer him one that he cannot turn down, unfortunately I suspect that he will be in the colours of the Rhinos next year and I think Hetherington knows this.I must add you cannot fault Leeds in anyway in which this has been handled.

I like this bit
“It has now been agreed by Leeds, Wakefield and Kyle that we are going to extend that decision until the end of the season and let Kyle make the decision,” revealed Hetherington.
“He can make the decision any time between now and the end of the season, but it is most likely to be at the end of the season.
at least he has a choice rather playing for a club that he hadn't chosen
Kyle you know where your loved most
