What a game, I have watched crigg all season and this was by far their best performance. The whole team were fantastic, as were the hull side. I know people talk about the so called one man team but I also know the one man well enough to know he never sees it that way. The whole team rallied together in extra time and for that 10 minutes completely outclassed their opponents. What a try but what a performance. Onwards and upwards together boys.

Quote: muttley cat "fantastic day out for crigg 12s bring the Yorkshire cup back to wakey in this age group.
running out 14-10 AET .

half time was 10-0 but east hull rallied well to level and take the game to extra time , leaving one of our big lads to settle it with the try of the match.

was looking forward to being amidst the east hull faithful shame that a couple of grown ups could not refrain themselves from a barrage of four lettered words towards some players and even more shameful was the coach/trainer who turned to a player in the dug outs and called him a w@ker just due to the lad saying "that wasn't a high shot"

im sure the paths will meet again , the 2 best IMHO made the final .

its a shame that BARLA & YJL still can not get themselves together as the junior game is flourishing'"

and i also heard the crigg parents mutts so take the blinkers off plse..also there were 3 very high shots and the old pigeon chests out on a few occasions which the hull boys did well not to respond to! well done to crigg but in the end the size of your boys won the game in difficult conditions.

How ridiculous and petty some people can be about a child's game. I take it that hull didn't have any big players, oh no actually they had a giant of a lad who played out of his skin but was dumped on his butt by some excellent tackling. He even approached some of the crigg lads and said as much. The high shots came from both sides and were hardly malicious. Grow up, the kids will show you how.

i only replied to mutts and stated what i saw about the high shots which ended up with 3 hull lads flat on their backs.. the crigg lad who scored the winning try finished very well and the hull lad who missed him must be gutted but as i said all credit to crigg for their win in difficult conditions...as for mutts comment about the language from the opposition, both myself and the 2 kids i was with heard some of the language used from your people which was industrial to say the least icon_rolleyes.gif

ATEOTD thankfully the action on the park took manys eye off it , the member of east hull bench who called a 11 year old a w@er is beyond compression lucky his dad is easy going and wont be taking it further as it was probably an emotional heat of the moment thing .

like crazy pointed out eusa_clap.gif

the day this crigg side get any credit will be a cold day in hell im beginning to believe , next someone will be on saying its a 1 man team icon_rolleyes.gif ignoring the fact that every team as a stand out player and the fact that the player they mention was out for a quarter plus of the season and played in the only game they lost this season.

Didn't hear any of the above cos to be quite honest i like to stand on my own & just watch the game , so stood behind the sticks ( & after reading the above will continue to do so !).
Thought we were fantastic first half & controlled the game really well . Credit to East Hull though ,they turned the game on its head second half & deservedly levelled it up with only a minute left . God knows how these lads do it , but with the momentum against them they managed to pick themselves up and play another 10 minutes like their lives depended on it & snatched a try .
Full credit to the East Hull lads though - young sponge says they were really gracious in defeat & a couple of them even came into the dressing room after to say well done eusa_clap.gif
Got to say - what a well organised weekend its been & thanks to all . Never been on such an emotional roller-coaster in my life .....could of been sick numerous times today !!!
Might take a bit for this to sink in - but one things for sure .... everyones gonna want to beat Crigg next year !
p.s. Hope the lad from East Hull who got carried off near the end is ok .
