| Not wanting to sound like ngbc but Morrison still has it for me. Lauititi plays a different game altogether. Two tough second rowers to ad some grunt has got to be good for us. We ain't got the biggest props so need to compensate. I agree were desperate for a quality 7 but to let Morrison go wouldn't be our smartest move ever

| You say we haven't got the biggest props.
We don't have enough
We have a tough cookie SR in bluey. We have 2 rising stars in johnson and Moriano. We have a impact second rower in lauititi who can offload some ball.
A second rower should in no way be compensating for props!
We have 3 spots left. One needs to be a prop(???), one a standoff( John???) and one a back (Tongia).
Morro, I like the guy and he was quality at beginning of the year but has progressively slipped more pens in and put in average games himself as seasons gone on.
The money he will command for his position we have depth in, at his age and a quota spot. My head says no but I wish him well.

| Still think we will get smith at 7, although my mate is convinced we will finish up with burrows who ( allegedly ) isn't over the moon at being on the bench all the time.

| Do people think lautiti would have put morros work in this year? The answer is no. He told many players where to run what to do this year. He was a tackling machine and his work ethic was brilliant he gave everything for this club a player like morro could have easily turned his back. Like Al I totally agree people have short memories its pathetic comparing him with some of the players he as played with this year they shouldnt even be on the same field. Yet again with the exiles he could have been man of the match just shows what quality he still has. Fickle fans who cannot be bothered watching how hard Morro as tried this year I cant be bothered listening to you! Enjoy your Hendos, Smiths, Howarth (Mr Worldbeater) do me a favour !!!

1. You start comparing Ali to morro. They are different players altogether with different roles on field.
2. Could easily have turned his back? - he gets paid.
3. Exiles - showed quality.. Shame after exiles we saw very little of it for rest of season bar odd game.
We all know morro tries hard but his injury, mixed performances, quota spot, age should all be a consideration. I don't see how some fans believe he has carried the team this year.

Glenn did ok last year but he's not going to be able to go on like steve menzies imo. He's starting to become a player whos off the field more than on it and when that happens its time to get shut. He missed quite a few games last year through injury probably wasnt value for money on the contract he will have been on.

| just cant believe what some people on here see or want for that matter - Glenn Morrison 21 appearances this year, how can that be off the field more than on it, he was absolute quality in the exciles game, and has been for us maybe in a different way, same number of games as menzies, more than rob purdham, just one less than jon wilkin, three players in similar positions doing similar jobs, i know they all have something different but are we to class these as players that spend more time off the pitch, and the injury a broken bone in the hand could happen to any player youong or old.

Never said he was off more than infield. I disagree morro has not been quality all year. In some matches he has been ineffectual and average mainly towards the back end. The risk year on year rises.
The fact is the Money that morro is on would be best used in positions we lack depth and have bigger weaknesses. you seem to ignore this. Do you not agree?

| trojan - agree we need to strengthen in other areas expecially prop and half back, and i also dont claim to have the inside knowledge of many people about players salaries, i am a company director and i wouldnt want my staff wages to be common knowledge. also i didnt say it was you that had said he missed more games than he has played,
anyway that aside, 2nd row of Morrison, Southern, with Lauitiiti and Mariano would be by far the best we have had for many years, and adds competition too,
i dont think morrison will be retained but would not be disappointed if he was, but thats only my opinion and after all the forums are all about opinions,
well apart from a select few who know all the facts.

You obviously don't know that most of the posters on here are top quality super league coaches and think they know everything but in reality know nothing about rugby league Some are so far up their own backsides that if you were to post something and they didn't agree you would be shot down in flames with their smart remarks.
No need for it if you ask me

I'm with you on this. Morrison is class, and the one thing he has in my opinion over the others is leadership ability and mentoring ability, which will benefit our younger players.
If we can't keep then so be it but I'd rather have him than not.

| That inefectual he is our current Man of Steel. What were people expecting him to do, win games single handedly??
He has been by far our best and most influential player for the last 2 years. There is nobody in my opinion that has even come close and that includes PJ, Murphy, Amor etc He is a different class to anything else we have been able to put out.
Admittedly as it stands, back row is now not what we really need but for me i would have retained Glen before signing one of the new guys.
With regards to games, i would be interested to know who has played (or been fit for) the most games in the last 2 years Glen, Ali or Southern??? Wouldnt be surprised if Glen was top of the list although i may be wrong!
