As I posted on a different thread, with Sean Long going to Salford as assistant coach, could that mean that Phil Vievers is our new coach and has been advising on our new signings ?

I can't see Veivers being in the frame - has he distinguished himself at Salford?

What is amusing, is the petty bitterness on display on the Cas board; they have a list of our signings so far this season, with increasingly desperate reasons as to why they're all cr@p.

I think our newfound confidence and increased buying power will start to worry more than just our small-town neighbours, particularly if we get the coaching appointment right.

The club have not appointed a coach yet, they are interviewing a number of candidates over the coming week, not all on the same day because some are travelling further than others.

As JE said at the fans forum, the club will follow a process, they have a criteria that the new person must meet and at all times the decision will be made with what's best for the club in mind both now and in the future.

Instigating long term systems that benefit the development of youth players is paramount but the creation of a coach pathway is also high on the agenda with the aim of promotion from within when we next need a change. Of course we need someone who can develop players as individuals and as a team and who can also get the best from our 1st team squad.

We will get the best person available to us!

You ought to sit in on these interviews 'The Clan' your knowledge and opinion would make sure we got the right man for the job! Just ask James Elston, I'm sure he would want another point of view rather than just him and Andrew Glover....
