Thing I found strange yesterday, we made 4 subs in the last 6 mins, especially as we were 1 player down in Howarth.
Thats 25% of the subs allowed not used for 74 mins of the game.
For me Davey had an excellent game and without Murphy they would have gone in at half time out of sight (they were anyway).
Re the ref, Feriol should have had at least 10mins a blatant attack at Korkis head, the ref had only just spoken to him for using the elbow in the tackle the play before.
Total lack of bottle from the ref.'" said the same on an earlier post. think ferriol may hear more from the rfl. a deliberate attack at korki's head followed up by a cowardly display from his team mates. give the lad his due though. got back up. took the next drive. thought he was excellent yesterday. played with the power and aggression that some of the others seemed to totally lack. thought jk's summarisation was spot on. need to start doing the things we have been doing with the resources we have. see you at salford. t.w.a.s

Yes, lots of respect to Korki he was clearly hurt and staggering around for a few moments after the incident.

| Quote: J.T "4,500 is shocking a pathetic showing from the apathetic Wakefield public.
It was poor yesterday but they are a good side and given the lack of quality and experience there will be many more days like yesterday. That this team has given us days like Hull away, Cas away and Hull KR at home is amazing and should be treasured. Keep the faith cos you never know when the next nail biting, against all odds victory is going to come!'"
The offiicial crowd was a lot higher than it appeared from the terraces.
If we had 4500 yesterday there must have been nearer 8000 last week for Cas.
The whole afternoon was a let down.
Once again the lads ran themselves into the ground, but we have to find some different attacking options.
We only have the kick on the last, or barge over from short range.

You ought to be thankful we get to the last. Did we get to the last in the first half? - completion rate was shocking

Slightly over the top, but I did think that the weak officiating gave the Catalans forwards carte blanche to ramp up the dirty tactics; if the ref doesn't get on top of that kind of play early doors, the players will just take the p1ss - they duly did.

| Thought this was just about the worst showing of the season for us, all be it against a very good French side with a very nice mix of powerfull forwards and classy backs. You do have to question the refereeing at times though, seemed to be plenty of headhunting going on and a card wouldn't have gone a miss I dont think, but having said that Glen Morrison needs to remember he is the club captain and no amount of chelping at the ref or touchy is going to help us, he is better than that and let himself down a bit in my opinion.
Thought that we showed some signs, but looked pretty toothless in atack - reminded me much of the Wigan game and despite scoring a few points we didnt look very dangerous with the exception of Mariano running good lines we look toothless. Defense was poor and we struggled with the powerful pack we played against, no shame there I suppose though looking at the personell for both sides.
Think we still have plenty of work to do, and shouldn't dismiss the loss because we have picked up a few wins along the way this season - we still look woeful when close to the the opposition line and our kicking game (both defensivly and attacking) needs to be worked on a lot, maybe Moore is the answer - probably about time he had a go on the basis of him having a kicking game if nothing else.
No shame i getting beat by this side, they will be pushing for top 4 I reckon come the end of the season - lets just hope it was a hangover from the big effort against Cas the week before and we get back on horse against an up and down Salford side next week.

It's brave to bring that up, since Morro is so good for us that he's almost beyond reproach, but I have to agree. He does have a tendency to lose his rag and in the past few games, has got involved in a bit of pushing and shoving; I refer specifically to Doncaster, Cas and this week against the Catalans.
Maybe he's carrying an injury or is mentally fatigued? I'd be tempted to start him on the bench on Friday - give him a bit of a rest.

Sunday's game and at Donny for sure thought he got involved in stuff that as captain he should be calming down rather than inflaming these situations. That said you are spot on about how important he is to us which is why it would be a great shame if he ends up getting himself, binned/sent off/banned.

| He always got involved like that at Bradford aswell, it's just how he plays. JD was just as bad for it.

| Gotta disagree with opinions on this post on the size of the crown. 4500 on a poor day weatherwise, with a weakened side out and (a first in my 40 yrs of watching Trinity) not a single away fan present as far as I could see; fair to middlin' I'd say. Contrast that to the Challenge Cup crowds at Salford, Bradford, Huddersfield and others. Wakey fans have put up with a lot over many years and picking a game or 2 to pass on is not a hanging offence. I think our support has been pretty good this season in spite of near extinction and the strong likelihood we are shafted from the start. We should not fight amongst ourselves, we should continue to rally behind the momentum that Andrew Glover at least appears to be creating. It's in it for the long haul as far as I can see and missing a few games is inevitable for us all

No-one disagrees with that - and I think every last man-jack of us is willing us forward with every sinew. From what I've seen the criticism is almost entirely constructive - i.e. trying to find things that we can improve on - rather than knocking any of the attempts to improve matters. There will always be exceptions, but there aint many!
