Quote: PHe "One of the many things re WT and the recent happenings that I don't understand is why have Hull signed Sam - nothing to do with his ability etc. Are there different rules regarding overseas players and the relevant paperwork criteria? We sign Smith from a fellow SL club and there is a delay in the necessary paperwork, result being that he can't currently play for us. Will there not be the same delay (months?) with regard to Sam pulling on a Hull shirt? Anyone got any ideas/views/knowledge ???'"

Yes being Wakefield we come under a different set of rules to other clubs I thought you would have known this by now icon_frustrated.gif

Not me this time I sponsor Korki so watch for him going next.

Not happy about this at all. If the administrator has sold Obst then the deal to buy the Club cannot have been finalised.

Parkin pulls out, Glover announced as owner, Obst sold - what the hells going on ?

My cautious optimism is quickly turning to pessimism.

I've had a gut full of RL in general. Sick of it, didn't watch any games other than Wakey and nearly turned that off half way through. Had enough

SAMs been a great player for us, he's often been the one shining light in otherwise dismal performances and has sparked us into life when we were looking dead in the water on a few occasions.

That said he has also had his fair share of anonymous games but what player hasn't?

The Administrator could not have sold Sam unless Sam agreed to go so he's obviously opted for the security of 2 years at Hull in SL. I won't hold that against him, he's paid his dues to Trinity and leaves with my best wishes,

Good luck Sam!

1873 are not officially in charge of club affairs yet until paper work is done so here goes. Hull ask to speake to Sam offer him one last good pay day before he retires, he gets a 2 year contract and some stability so agrees to go. He tells the Administrators he wants to leave and with their being money on the table the administrators acts without the same emotion the Club would and sell him.

Think about it better money, longer contract, super league license, all adds up to Sam wanting to go, and if they want to go not much you can do.

Good luck in the future Sam, you have been a true 100%er since you joined.

It is a shame that he has gone because we are now even more short at halfback unless we have a replacement signed up but i somehow doubt it because of the speed of the deal.

Hopefully this will allow us to bring Hicky over sooner but i have a feeling we still wont see him for at least a month.

It is a shame for the new owners because it appears that their reign is starting on a downer through no fault of their own.

No. Hull approach the administrator with an offer. The administrator tells Sam he's sold him to bring in funds for the creditors.End of.

icon_twisted.gif totally gutted heard the news at the club shop this morning and for me has ripped the heart out of the half backs we now need someone to stand up and take his place,

while I can see the administrative idea of reclaiming lost revenue I see as a blindfold act from someone who has no idea what he has done they might as well sell the cat too.

so much has gone off on since I been away I hope now Andrew Glover can get a grip of the club and guide it where we want it to go and that's upwards.

I too would like to thank Sammy for the great effort that he has put into the club and will always receive a welcome reception from us eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

sad loss for club and fans but we must move on now
