| Quote: Bluedog Reborn "I voted No and not because I want to see the club fold; neither do I wish to see the current BoD continue to pull the club further into this current abyss.
Maybe it's the way I was brought up but the idea of taking individuals & business for monies & services provided in good faith does not sit well with me.
Imagine if you were one of the debtors (and no I am not one) then how would you feel. Would you deal with a new club whatever there name or structure? Call the club what you want but repairing the good name and standing would not be easy.
Administration seems to be inevitable but It does not sit well with me and I loath the people who have put us in this position.'"
I totally agree with you but it seems unavoidable and that sadly will mean that people will lose money which is a disgrace.

We may be liquidated, but, whatever happens, it's a fresh start and that is really what the club has needed for a long time.

Some seem to think its gunna be easy as if Admin is some kind of sliver bullet.'"
I know very well that liquidation is a risk of Administration, in the current situation Administration is still very likely. From a business perspective, anyone buying the club would certainly prefer to have a clean slate to start with in terms of the club's previous debts - the creditors would get a reasonable deal from the purchase price being paid to the Administrator.
A sale of the existing business is still possible, but with the imminent winding up order (which IMO would be likely to be granted & would see the club closed down immediately) Administration gives everyone involved the proper amount of time to complete the necessary due diligence.

If you do go into administration spare a thought for the business (not the tax man) who are owed large amounts of money who are offered 5p for every pound owed. Whilst you may think these things happen how would you feel if you were to arrive at your place of work to find out that they were owed a considerable amount from a company which had chose to take the aministration/liquidation route and as a result of this loss of income you and your work colleagues were being laid off.
I'm not saying that administration isn't right for the club i'm just saying spare a thought for the small local business who are owed money by wakefield and as a result may see there own business go under.

I certainly would have sympathy for anyone who is owed money and loses out. However, I would like to think that given how bad a payer we are likely to have been under Ted over the years and with the tax issues recently, that most businesses (and certainly those who can't afford to stand the loss) would have insisted on payment up front before providing the club with any goods/services.
Please note however, that there have been some major players in the Building Services industry such as ROK and Connaught who have gone bump recently owing businesses significantly more money than Wakey could ever dream to owe.

| snd if the business is wound up and liquidated, as a result of the HMRC petition ... crefitors will also lose out. If rhe choice is between administration and liquidation, then there's no choice.
