| Sorry but after getting into difficulties with the tax man last year, there can be no excuse for it happening again.
Its a good job Tronc, Brough and Newton left so early in the season otherwise we would have been up crap creek. This makes the decision to bring Cooke in even worse.
As they don't put any money in anyway, even if there is no new investment found the current BOD need to go as far away from Wakefield Trinity as possible (assuming after yet more mismanagement on their part, we still have a club). Barring the odd highlight, this club has become a joke under their stewardship.
Franchise for 2012 - sorry but this on top of everything else, I just can't see it.

| Quote: Khlav Kalash "Fortunety the new stadium isn't anything to do with Trinity, other than them being tenants, so it should have no bearing on what happens in October. If Trinity are wound up a new club will probably be formed in the lower divisions and operate out of the new stadium until they can get to a position where they could apply for a license.'"
Thanks for that . Wasn't sure what the arrangement was . A new big stadium won't be cheap to rent . Would be hard enough with the current support . Almost impossible if you end up re-forming and playing in a lower league ( less home , and less visiting fans , cheaper entrance etc ). Could be difficult times ahead . Personally I would rather come visit you at your current home . I know (don't we all?) that it ain't the biggest poshest place around , but at least it has real character and an atmosphere .

no they wont and no doubt i will be sl***ed off for saying it too as to some every thing is perfect about the club-NOT
as for the winding up order it says the hearing is for the 22nd of sept does that mean thats when we would/could be wound up or is that where the tax man finds out if he can go for a winding up order?

| It's heard on that day and should be settled then, it's only in extreme circumstances it will be carried on.
Although I don't really foresee any problems. If the club are currently keeping up with existing payments then another arrangement will be made. So one effect we will probably see is a tightening of the playing budget for next season"living within the means". You never know it's a bit like when JK first arrived, written off, favorites for the bottom, we may find that old spirit back and give the old girl a good send off. Thing is if we do start winning with a shoestring team then the coffers and spirits will look a little rosier.

| Quote: Green Greedo "2 days ago I became aware of the real reason Danny Kirmond didn't play against Salford,
He was due to play and Wakefield asked for him to be released as they couldn't afford to pay him for the remainder of his loan spell.
Apparently we had a deal until the end of the play-offs with the player and a wage of something near £10k was stated to which we had no funding to complete this deal.
This is no rumour mongering as it came direct from a good friend that is a senior coach at the Giants.
Read into what you want with regarding no recruitment and letting players go plus the clubs offer to be sold etc.
Think because of no play-off money etc wev'e hit another crisis regarding funding and is it why the players have not been performing with regards payments.'" load of rubbish. danny was recalled and if he hadn't have been it would have been a good move by the club when he is not needed to save us paying his wages. the last i earned he was having a good moan because they hadn't played him against the french when he could have gone out mad monday with all the rest of the boys from wakey. straight from the horses mouth. danny had a great time at wakey, really enjoyed it and has nothing but good to say about the place. sorry if this disappoints you

| Maybe if the OPP for the Stadium had been heard and passed, this would not be seen as such a big issue, why it has been set for 22 October when it originally went in in Feb and was due to be heard in Sept is also a cause for concern. Maybe Cllr Box was aware of our issues with the tax man and thought that by it being set back still further, this might finally kill us off.
The other concern is what happens to people like me who have paid up front for a season ticket? If the club is wound up I presume we can kiss goodbye to our money? I also suspect that this is yet another reason why some fans will not be in a rush to renew their season tickets at the moment (afterall, you would be worried about loosing the cash).
The fact the club knew about this issue in July but have started selling tickets for next year, does not seem quite right to me.

correct,
in light of the news that has come to light I'm going to hold back to the maximum date which is 30th Sept before thinking of splashing out £350 for a family season ticket,
this once happened to me before in purchasing a suite, I payed cash on the Sat only for a news announcement to be made on the Mon that the store had gone into receivership,
I still got my goods but it was poorly served, this taught me to use visa as you are covered to claim for instances like this,
it gives me no pleasure in not helping the club in their hour of need, but I am ready to watch unknown players at the same price rather than the ones we have had holding their hand out sapping the club dry and then putting in inept performances

This is exactly my point and I don't blame you. The problem for the club is they may in some respects be relying on the early ticket money to keep going.
It should never have come to this. More prudence was required after last years close shave and the sale of Ryan Atkins to cover the debt.

So your passion for the club is equivalent to that for your settee?
You will still get your goods - just as you did last time. And if it helps - pay with your visa!
