| I came expecting to see a Wigan win but never by that many.
This appears the poorest Wakefield side for a long time, or was it too soon to play us after Leeds last week?
It's only last year you beat us at Wigan!
The Wakey forwards had no drive, there were no creative half backs and not much pace in the 3/4s. A poor out fit all told.
The ref wasn't good for either side but he didn't contribute to the extent of the Wigan win/Wakey loss.
Is it money problems? Lack of quality in depth in Super League, what?
This is one Wigan fan who doesn't want to see the demise of any SL club.
I remember Wakey days of the Fox brothers, Gerry Round, Harold Poynton etc.
No way do I want to see Wakefield fade away.
I want them to improve and soon too!

| sorry but what is the point in name calling? there was no need to start it off and that was by a wigan 'fan'. Wakefield have a Great past and I think any team with a bit of history shouldn't be thrown out. That goes for Widnes too. Wakefield can't obviously build a new stadium or have the resources to fund what Wigan have but give them a break they try their best. Should be supporting each other in this game not being a troll.
anyway... IMO the problem with Wakefield lies with Leeds-loving Kear. Listened on BBC GMR and wigan didn't seem to be 'awesome' we just converted more chances.

So watch this space.'"
Wigan RLFC only pay when they play at the DW, which is once in the last eight weeks.
Lenagan has no need to sell his shares inthe other clubs.

don't bite mate, not worth it! nobody even remembers the salary cap issues wigan had previously ! all the best for the rest of the season and hopefully we could see the end of the whino / saints dominance.

I know we all wear the blinkers when discussing our own club - but you seriously can't believe what you wrote there, can you?

Mine are red white and blue blinkers but they don't mask out what happened today, sadly.

Yep, I thought Wigan had more gears to go through. Every kick down our fullbacks throat, poor goal-kicking. Feka looked off the pace, Tomkins and O'Loughlin clearly tired, woeful discipline. We had enough field position and chances to put any other SL side barring Wigan and Huddersfield to bed today. I really think finishing was the difference.
And i'm not usually that kind to Trin when we haven't been at the races!!!!!

I actually agree with a lot of what you say there, but in major aspects of the game - defence, enthusiasm, attacking structure, cutting edge, organisation I thought we were much better than Wakey today, hence the scoreline.

You completely hammered us in these departments our attacking line was consistantly woeful. One up rugby at 12 men is unforgivable really. Never got going.

Poor goal kicking? Thought Richards was pretty good today, missed maybe 1 he should have got but also kicked some belters.
Tomkins and O'Loughlin clearly tired? Well Lock went off injured after 10 minutes after finishing off a length of the field move. Both Sam and Joel were excellent.
I think you had very few chances due to fantastic defence and as for filed position you had a few spells but generally Wigan were totally dominant due to your errors.
If you class finishing as scoring lots of points I agree, other than that I am not sure we were at the same game.
Trinity were poor in defence, offered nothing in attack, riddled with basic errors and were technically and physically way way off the pace of the Wigan team on the day.

| Lol, I saw it differently, I thought we defended ok and all the chances Wigan had they took. I thought both sides were equally poor but Wigan had conviction once half gaps appeared. It was that simple. We really didn't struggle to get up to the other end of the field but once there the knock-ons came. We gave Wigan a lot of cheap ball but hey gave us even cheaper ball with perpetual penalties.
I didn't see anything in our performance today to give me heart but I don't think Wigan were as hot as some are making out.
Tomkins and O'Loughlin were tired, the former getting frustrated with his performance near the end and taking it out on Obst and the latter was cream crackered after his early break, looked like thigh strain.
