| Quote: worksopwildcat "No need to employ scouts anymore then!
Just look at the stats and bingo!'"
Scouts and fans are two completely different things surely. A scout is a RL professional who knows his business, a fan is just a fan though some on here seem to consider themselves a bit more.
If you went on what fans on here spout, Blaymire has been anything between Platts the clowns understudy to the finest F/B ever to grace the British game. An opinion held by some almost simultaniously.
It's a myth to say stats lie, it's how people choose to use them that makes them true or false. I'm fairly sure JK knows the difference don't you.

| from what i have seen i would rather have Murphy on the wing rather than Peterson
yes Bradford scored 2 tries on his wing yesterday but like all teams should they kicked to the least experanced winger
Menzies is a class player and Murphy was left defending a massive area alone, should the centre not have helped out more
also Murphy did some outstanding tackling one on one
i just hope that he is not going to be the next target when other teams score

OT slightly, heard a story the other week (reliable source). Whilst talking to Sam after the Catalan match (I think) a friend of mind said that he thought Hendo took a massive battering, Sam replied without a hint of a smile "that's what he is there for" - made me laugh.
I love Hendo, he seems to get battered every week but just gets up and carries on without a second thought. And he had a good game yesterday.
In my opinion young Murphy is doing really well but makes me nervous every time he goes for a high ball - he runs with his arms and legs flailing everywhere, but somehow it seems to work for him.
Bibb just needs to practice holding the ball in a better way, I'm sure with more gametime he'll improve.

I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.'" woh woh hold on their old boy! i'm not bagging FW i'm just saying the way some fans are talking its sounds like they are expecting him to come on in his first game and knock the opposition all over the park, and if he dont then they will be the first ones to bag him and shout for Bibb back in and send FW back to Oz,
I've seen FW play a couple of games and confident he will be a good un for us but not in the way some might think

I am absolutely certain JK wouldnt bother looking at the stats when he has watched every Wakefield player for every minute of every game. Do you think that he does not know whats happening without reverting to stats? Come on vasty - Coffee wake the smell up and - rearrange

You would be absolutely wrong, the coaching staff go through the stats with the players after every game. You are either very naive or know nothing about the first thing about sport. In any sport you would care to mention statistics are the bible of coaches, especailly top level professional sport where inches can mean the difference between winning and losing.

It would appear that I know a little more about english grammar than you.
Can I also point out that certainly in boxing statistics are not the bible of coaches. In defending myself on the charge of 'know nothing about the first thing about sport' I was an international amature boxer that then turned professional and was a paid sparring partner to five world champions - on no occasion did i ever see a coach refer to stats. Is that naive enough for you or do is still not know nothing about the first thing about the thingy thing called sport thing?

You've obviously taken one blow to the head too many BTW, (that stands for by the way, by the way) the last throw of the dice for anyone that has lost an argument is to point out grammar mistakes

| am i missing something here chaps??? it shouldnt be about one player better than an other we have a squad and to me every player will be taken out of firing line and given a game off to freshen up and in theory we should and imo have now players to rotate around without upsetting the applecart, for what its worth i think the young uns in bibb, pitts n murphy have done brill and if mr kear took them out of the firing line for a game or so it be no reflection on there game, they would come back fresh again and let someone else rest, its a long old season and teams like leeds and saints rotate n rest players regular, yes i know we not them we wakefield but i really think w got the players now and ones comming back too to let some of our players have a breather
