Going by this list of only those 9 are leaving. The following are to be confirmed as re-signing or having contracts for 2025 I guess:

Someone said previously that Law had been told that he had not been retained, looks like that rumour was wrong. (although he did play against us, prob fuelling the rumour).

Certainly seems that way. I’d suspect that Mash will want him at York next season and to be honest it wouldn’t surprise me if a couple of these ended up at York or a few of our younger players like Smith/Booth etc (assuming we get SL status). I’d be all for a dual reg with York to be honest.

Shame Olpherts is going as good back up/competition for wing in SL with the yardage he makes and the tries he scores…

We will have a like for like replacement in Matty Russell coming in who is a very similar player but a little better IMO.

As we have 4 centres I d rather see one of them as back up winger than Russel , - assuming he’s coming

That does make a lot of sense, especially after playing OP on the wing against Barrow, and then listening to Ollies interview after the game.

I think all of these make sense, if Boothroyd was Home Grown then I would have kept him but he isn't worth a quota spot . The other one who I wouldn't mind us keeping is Olpherts but he wouldn't be first choice and I imagine at this stage of his career he wants to be playing regular rugby.

It's why he left Leeds so yes regular game time is his goal. He'll be a good pick up for a top end Championship club. Still drops the odd clanger but finishes well and has a strong carry.

Let’s not forget they have been up against championship opposition , if players didn’t look good I think we’d all be asking questions. Yes we now have financial stability but that’s not to say money can be used willy nilly and the club must feel that at present we have a squad that can compete at the next level , which probably includes a contingency plan if and when the right player becomes available.
