Maybe it will give an indication as to whether it’s actually our halfbacks that are the issue/ or part of it.
At the moment everything goes through Lino but equally I think that’s detrimental to him and the plays we put on. To say he’s had so much ball he’s not created anything resulting in a try for a number of games. I’ve never been fully convinced by Lino personally. He can sometimes delay the pass too much and give defences time to slide out. It looks good his show and go then pass but it doesn’t get the ball out wide fast at all.
Wouldn’t hurt to rest Lino and see how we fare without the player who touches the ball the most but creates very little.

| Forwards made the yards on Sunday so the issue is with the attacking structure or lack of it, which means Lino is making it up on the hoof, the consequences of this are sadly clear to see.

| My opinion for what it's worth.
Stand Off should have been our major signing in the close season after Miller jumped ship. It seems he was the glue that held it all together Fifita and other players spoke very highly of him as a leader.
As said above we are totally unbalanced at half back with Lino having to take all responsibility. In fact if you look at most of the tries on Sunday they ran directly at Smith who couldn't make the tackles.
Why on earth didn't the coach do something about it I do not know.
So yes right to look at SOs but is Milnes the answer I don't know.

| I think he’ll compliment your maverick half quite well and allow him to focus on his own game more. Rowan has the ability to lead a team around at the very least.

Something we have strived for but failed to recruit since the days of Liam Finn.

| Rovers have 2 England half backs in Jordan Abdull and Mikey Lewis which has seen Rowan Milnes have a lack of game time.
For literally months at the end of 2022 neither were available and Milnes stepped in admirably. In particular the last game of the season he was instrumental in the 4-36 hammering of Hull.
He actually played against you lot a week or two back in the absence of Abdull and had a decent game.
We've taken 3 brilliant players from you in George King, James Batchelor and Corey Hall. There's also Yusuf Aydin although we haven't seen enough of him to know yet.
I hope you'll get value out of Dagger and Milnes although I don't see Rovers allowing the latter to leave on a permanent basis.
