A fair few of those were none starters and that sadly includes Bill.
In which case I don't think we are that decimated tbh, no more than most tbh.
Of those only Kay and Lyne being out are causing serious issue. Tanginoa has improved but he can be covered as can Pitts.
What I'm saying is no excuses, there is enough there to play a decent game.'"
That’s still 7 out of the match day squad. Tupou I put in because if not for his injury he would have been playing without doubt and we are paying him.
It’s not an excuse and I’m glad the club don’t use it as an excuse.
It’s just almost every time before we play a team the opposition are bleating about injuries (Salford, Saints, Cas etc) yet we just get on with it facing the very same adversity. It annoys me how we get labelled by some as a game we should win because the opposition are injury hit yet don’t consider we are down on troops too.
I’m sure it’ll be a decent game and we can come away with the points. I’m inclined to be optimistic after last weeks effort too.
I’m looking forward too the game. I can see a close one.

If it hadn't have been for Tupou's injury then we wouldn't have signed Taufua so the pair of them kind of count for one injury overall. Only one would have ever been playing, it could have never been both.
Other teams bleating about injuries is because they have had injuries, it's not just us. Pretty much all teams have had plenty of players out and some still still do. What tends to happen is they handle it better than we do. The teams we have had out have been good enough to pick up more points than we have and i'm sruggling to think of a time we've had to consistently pick players in a position thats alien to them, it's the performances that just haven't been good enough.

But that is part of the issue for us.
Missing 2 is bad. Missing 2 in same position means you have your 3rd choice playing.
All our injuries are in the backs. Makes it tough to cover.

| But on Friday, its about the players on the field, not the injuries.
They need our support and they need to be at their best and focused.

Which is exactly the same for a lot of teams. Our opponents on Friday have exactly the same problem with fullback/stand off with at least 5 players out who play those positions. It happens, it’s how you deal with it that counts.

Interesting you've picked Gaskell above Miller, you fearing a conflict of interest?

Centre is a tough one. Gaskell played really well in centre vs saints so it’s going to be difficult to choose between him and hall. I’d probably go Hall with the fresh legs.

| You are still looking strong in the forwards if your lads stand up to the challenge.
Your half backs are good too and may enjoy our small pitch.
If your backs can stay with ours who knows.....
Not sure if you watched our Hull game but Eden was class in the halves on the left with Olpherts, Fonua and Kenny Edwards so your right edge has to be ready.

We have young lads on the left edge at 19/20 with approximately
20 games between them. Our right edge probably 30 or so games between them and again two young lads. For the games they have they’re doing well this year.

Eden seemed to relish playing in the halves and Harrison will be chuffed to find someone who can cover.
Forwards v Backs, interesting game

For once the narrow pitch may help us a little. We are leaking like crazy on the flanks so it may help us tighten up our defence, especially if we defend as we did against Saints, and that is about as good as we get.

I have always got the impression the Cas pitch is quite wide, its the length thats sub standard. However wide or narrow, everytime I watch them it seems to me the majority of their trys are out wide, no matter who the opposition are. They always seem to score at least another try from McShanes little grubber kick at PTB.
I think Cas will have to have an 'off night' and we will have to play at the very top of our game to have a chance.

Under Powell they has a play to their left with the FB coming into the line which caught us out far more times than I can remember.
Under Radford, their play is more power based but, they have some quality in their backs and Westerman is doing a great job for them too.
They are favourites on the handicap but, we are fighting for our lives so, hopefully a close game, with Trin to sneak a win

I've got Sky Q and unfortunately that means I'm locked into their contract till the back end of this year, then they've all gone and I'll be £102 a month better off, the crap internet the netball basketball all the other rubbish stuff and most pleasing of all Wilkins, that pr@t from Cas who showed his face for a season with us not forgetting Clark as well as listening to Arthurs telling us a dozen times a night how many injuries the other teams got, just simply turn the sound off, it's so much simpler, the good thing is it works when your watching other Sky sports programmes as well.

Think when you say you are leaving Sky will try to make you a offer to stay .I pay under 80£ As said I stoped watching S L half way through the season .Same reason as you ,on about injury to other teams ,but if you did not no we play with a full team every week .Agree a lot about the other sports a load of rubbish ,especially trying to push ladies sport down our throats. Making a big deal about England ladies scoring 4 goals the other day .Saw the goals one morning ,and my 7 year old grandson said he could have stopped 3 of them goals sums it up for me Mr Carter said Sky as cut money to S L right down but it as the second biggest viewing figures.
