I'll go with your £10 million too.
MC and JM to stay on but I have to sign off budgets.
I'd develop a top academy, for young player development all the way to u19s.
I'd boost the community work and bring in some experts for marketing.
Full time sports psychologist.
Full time technical analysis team.....like moneyball.
And I'd buy the refs a big steak dinner as we seem to have miffed them off somehow.
And maybe get a couple of extra players in.
Anyone I don't feel is up for the challenge can be paid off.'"
I would also be ok with £10 million and maybe some more to get the rest of the ground up to shape

Yes. I was thinking, if they paid for the other stuff already, I'd pay for the extras, like landscaping at the entrance and have some really fancy gates.......and a Neil Fox statue the size of the colossus of Rhodes.

| Quote: AMI "How much would you invest in Trinity if you were the sole winner?? And how hands on would you want to be?
If I win I would ask MC to stay in place but I would want to be involved in some of the decisions. An initial
Investment of £10M and putting plans in place for the club to grow and be self sufficient with annual
Investment.'"
Think I'd want to sort the ground out as well so after I'd split the £190m with the wife (she could sort friends and family out) I reckon the club could use about £30m of mine.
My main bit of joy would be having it all hush hush, with just a rumour that a RL fan had won it, until receiving the cheque with full TV coverage whilst wearing a Cas shirt. Give it 5 minutes or so then rip it off to reveal a Wakey shirt underneath. Simple pleasures eh?

| It’s what dreams are made of as a wakey fan , sticking two fingers up to the rest of super league, with the best stadium plus the best players to ever grace a RL in the modern era .

| Says much for the greed on here, if I couldn't enjoy the rest of my life for me and my family on a couple of million pounds it would be rather sad,
being a sole winner of 191 million I would invest more than just Trinity, each local side in the Wakefield area would also be invited to get involved generating a new rugby future for the area, this would include helping struggling families too

| I'd pay TJ £10,000,000 to stay put, just to deprive any other club of his undoubted skills (particularly against us), just like Leeds used to do.

Wow we agree on something!
I made this same point not long ago. It’s an obscene amount and would ruin most peoples lives if they won. Yet most on here seem to think they could handle it.
I honestly don’t think people realise how much 191 million in cash actually is. We here of celebs being worth that amount but it’s paper money, all assets and potential.
Only a tiny number of people in the world have that in cash, the Queen doesn’t!
And those who do are either born into it or accumulate over time. It’s simply not natural to be a milkman on Monday and 24 hours later richer than almost all of the UK’s industrialists.
All the same if I won it Trinity would most certainly benefit even if I didn’t.

Why does it mean people are greedy?
No one said they wouldn't help other people, just that they'd like to invest in Wakefield Trinity.

Most people are greedy and in some way you can add me to that list, look around at what most don't have, I have a lovely spacious house with small gardens all the lads are still at home due to brexit and covid but have no desire to move on as yet, I've no desire to move into a mansion I've everything that I could want, I'm not wasteful and find ways to utilise anything or pass on to anyone that can benefit from it so what would you do after given 10 mill to wakey and you've got 181 million more.
I know you can't buy health but I'd fix the bits are dropping off

Of course I'd like to have some say in where it went and what it would be used for but certainly needs professionals controlling it and would have to watch for rogue
One thing I probably would do set up a sanctuary for poor dogs and cats that have suffered through no fault of their own

If I'm being honest I've thought about this way too much....for fun, no more than that.
But yes I agree £190+ million is too much for one person. That's why you need to invest in something that will benefit others without benefit to you.
I have a family and they and my extended family would benefit first. We are not rich but of course we are not poor either.
Wakefield Trinity would be fun money, but you'd be surprised how quickly that money would slip away each year.
After that I'd probably still be left with £160million.
With that much money you need to pay for security and financial experts.
The rest I'd buy land for nature reserves and build safe places in other parts of the world as well as UK.
And I saw a film when I was a kid that always stuck with me. A guy came across money that wasn't his. It was all the pennies that are rounded up in the banks.
He would just live his life and every time he saw someone doing a good deed or in need, he gave them money as a secret donor. Change the lives of good people.
Of course, the point of the film was exactly your point. People started fighting in the street to be the one to help the old lady in case the secret donor was there.
Some tough choices. I hope I get the chance to do it though.

| Actually. No-one won.
It rolls over again.
3 people in UK won £3.5 million each.
That's a more acceptable number.

| Well I won diddly squat.
In answer to the OP, yes I would look to buy the club.
I would invest around £15-20m, but also help our local clubs. Should knows, they could unearth the next Toppo or Neil Fox.
I would also prefer to do things without current owners, new ideas etc.
Some of the things I would do.
1. Bring in a Brian Smith type coach, to try and change the playing culture. Those players that don't buy into it, would be released.
2. Spend close on the salary cap, but just leave a little spare, should the squad need strengthening.
3. Bring in a quality marketing team, to try and market our club, to increase crowds, and overall revenue, so they can be pretty much self sustainable.
