You see I respectfully disagree … Fifita ( our go to man ) getting binned caused the problem of the 2nd half . They were always going to come out all guns blazing just to take advantage of us being a man down . They got rolling and we were hanging on .. causing the errors imo . Toulouse have some great fast players … we just needed a full team to stem the onslaught for the first 10 mins or so ! It was just so unnecessary and stupid

Our problem was the usual one, we cannot handle adversity at all well. We fell apart as soon as we were put under a bit of stress and that for me comes down purely to the mentality of a majority of the players. The catalyst was Fifita, but the rest of them have to man up as well. They didn’t.

It must be me !!! It was all just so unnecessary .. 4/5 secs on the clock ! A game we had to win … a team struggling to find form … a team struggling to field a settled side !!! It cost us the game … he’d been enjoying the “ oh David Fifita “ chants not long before he did this … they must have still been whizzing round his head !!

I have said before we had half time to work out a plan to cover the 10 minutes Fifita was absent. It looked like we just didn’t bother or were incapable of changing.
We are now facing the final phase of the season having lost our points advantage over three games. The team below us have beaten us twice in recent games which makes every game a final. We cannot go into any believing that the performance is more important than the result, it wasn’t the case this Saturday and is definitely not for the remaining fixtures.

I think the point made about performance is that concentrating on performance gets you a win. Concentrating on the win makes you nervous and you try to win on every play.

It didn’t yesterday, nor the week before or the week before that but the points conceded are reducing so maybe by our last game we will have cracked it.

I think it exactly did happen. We are panicking and going away from game plan with silly plays rather than calmly continuing what worked well.
Yesterday is a perfect example.
