Why is Hood getting a bashing again….. he scored a try. His defence was excellent and his distribution good. When he was on the field we went into a commanding lead.

While he was off we leaked 5 try’s. When he came back on (with Whitbread) we instantly improved in the middle.

Though it showed how much we needed him Good went off J C as a replacement hooker was a bad call .Went down that road for over half a season and it did not work then under Chester.We are the only team in S L(not for much longer ) that the hooking role is not important. How should I know and what does that matter if another club was interested or not? We signed him first. He’s been overall a pretty good signing imo.

Hood is an adequate sl hooker, nothing more nothing less. I don’t think he’d get the first choice role in any other sl team but he can do a job. What he isn’t or shouldn’t be is your main man, your only real option. The decision to go with a converted winger, a young lad with pretty much zero first team experience anywhere and a loose forward who tries his best but isn’t up to that role as alternatives was the wrong one. THAT is where the problem is.

What did Hood do especially wrong, he’s the least of our worries.
