Still it looks like Fifita and Lino were both struggling to make the game through injury. Let's hope they get past their niggles and can keep that team together.'"
Didn’t seem to affect Lino but Dave still not quite Dave yet. I have a feeling that when Dave gets back into the groove it will be worth the wait, hopefully.

| I thought we got the rub of the green with a few calls today, not enough to impact the game but helped make it that bit more comfortable. Been saying for a while that’d I’d move Tupou to the wing but based on his performance today he looked closer to his old self than he has done for a while. On that form he has to stay in the centre, Johnstone will be itching to get back for that kind of service. The hooker role seems to be causing us the most problems. Can’t wait to see how we look with Eaves and Kyle both fit.

| Lino apparently has a back problem which meant he could hardly walk on Wednesday.
I assume, with no medical knowledge, that it's like muscle tightness and spasms. It can be debilitating but can be fixed too.
He was moving pretty freely today but I bet he feels it tomorrow.

I don’t think we got the rub of the green, I just think we got our fair share for a change.
I actually think the crowd helped a lot today, I reckon our reaction got us a few 50/50 we might not have at an empty ground. Certainly the two blatant forward passes.

Having the fans back was huge today, absolutely huge and the players seemed to really feed on the support.
We did seem to get more from the ref than usual and I'm pretty sure that the KR fans will be complaining
As you say, about bloody time as we certainly got stiffed at Headingley (not for the first time either).

Totally agree with that, surprised nobody else mentioned it.
Playing his first game at hooker, who thought we were without first choice hookers.
Very close to MOM for me, this guy is class

Have to say Kershaw and Kay may not be TJ level but both showed up well today.
We needs to keep Eaves on loan as long as we can, a genuine hooker.'"
I think it's quite fascinating this thing about our full strength, best team etc?! I don't actually disagree with what you are saying, but, TJ & Senior were first choice, remember him?! K Wood, J Wood, Crowther missing, so 4th choice plays 9 who isn't even a 9?! Arguably both starting props aren't props?! Just says to me we have a more than decent squad, hence the criticism of the coach etc? We have been waiting for a performance like that for quite some time I would say........

Well true if your perfect team is just the first 17. What I suppose I mean is the broader 20+ squad of players all of whom are playing in the positions you might expect.
Yesterday only Brad Walker was really playing in an unaccustomed position, hence we had out a strong side out if not technically our absolute strongest but in truth it's rare that this happens for any team.
I don't think your right about the props, Arona is a prop these days and Tangonoa is fine in either position.
As I say for me only the hooking role was debatable yesterday, everyone else was IMHO fulfilling the roles for which they were hired.
It's only a few players added here and there but it clearly matters.
However, I suppose before we get too excited let's see what our old foes dish up next week, we may well end up back at square one again if we are not carefull.

Walker was very good and I don't think he looked out of place in the hooking role. He has clever hands and a rugby brain. One to definitely keep and play more!

You get this quite often in the game, a player of great talent but who just hasn't managed to pin down a first team roll. Then one lucky day they are asked to play somewhere else and the next thing you know they have stumbled into what was always their natural role.
Danny Kirmond Wing to SR
Roger Kenward's astonishing transformation from Wing to SH.
JD, below average FB to an above-average centre.
Probably the most obvious in this case is Kyle Wood, for years a promising HB who just couldn't quite make it then moves to nine.
The list is huge of players who fail in their junior positions only to totally own another.
Let's hope so because if he can transfer to 9 he's got one hell of a box of tricks to bring on board.
