A tough game played a couple of hundred miles away, picking up some serious injuries but a fantastic result, I've watched these lads play a fair few times over the last couple of years and they have grown as a team and the coaching staff have done a fantastic job in developing them in to a winning side.

That is great news. Really is the future of our club.
It takes a lot of work to build an academy. Especially when the bright lights of Leeds and Hull come calling or even the cash at Huddersfield and the big boys over the hills.
The best teams have players who played together for a long time so it would be fantastic to start promoting these guys when they are ready.

I don't watch them at all and I really should.

Unfortunately Stephen Gibbs has a double jaw break and Nathan Newbound has a broken and dislocated ankle. Shows how tough our game is.

This is the Wakefield college team that is linked as WT cat 3 academy, with a good smattering of the current U19's in the team but also a good number of year 1 players which bodes well for next year. They usually play fixtures Wednesday afternoon so it's difficult to get to see them, I've been lucky enough to watch a lot of college games although my lad plays for a different college as well as been in the Trinity U19's and with plenty of his old junior team mates and opponents in this team we've travelled about on a Wednesday afternoon when possible to watch them.
