Agreed. We need to be a bit smarter with the ball and not turn over as much possession... I was pleased defensively on Sunday - this must continue mind.....
Hull KR will be looking to bounce back I think another close tight encounter is on the cards

Not quite true. Since Hull KR were promoted in 2007 we have played them 16 times.
Wakefield 8 Wins, Hull KR 8 Wins
The win record is the same as theirs. 5 Home wins and 3 Away wins.
So really we have a half decent record at home against Hull KR.

Yep I was thinking that, I never remember HULL KR being a bogey team like say Shudds.

| I reckon this game will give us a far better idea as to where we really are. Sunday was emotional this is more of a normal game. It will show whether Sunday was a game raised or what we are actually going to get. It will be close as HKR will see it as a possible win so we'll need to be as good as last week if not better.
Looking forward to it but nervous.

| Watched the tries on Sky last night and Campese and Kelly look a right hand full, especially Kelly.

I agree. It will be tough there is no doubt
However any Rovers fans watching the Smith passes for our tries must be thinking the same.

| Very confident for this one. Hull KR look very good 1-7 but we'll beat them in the forwards where they look much less impressive and thats where the game will be won.

Steady on there.
The one thing I've learned watching Trinity over the last 25+ years is that, confidence is nearly always misplaced.
We are usually better when everything is stacked against us.
Notable wins: Away vs Wigan a few seasons ago (when we had Dave Halley on loan), Catalan Away (with a patched up squad) etc, etc.
On the other hand Losing at Hudds (when we were riding high and they hadn't won all season), beating Catalan at home and then getting turned over at London, Bulls at home last season etc, etc.
It's always best to fear the worst and come away smiling, like we did on Sunday
Really looking forward to the game though and hopefully we will manage somewhere near 7000 attendance, as KR always bring plenty.

| Expecting alot tougher test than at Cas. Thought we looked good going forward, but need to iron out these silly penalties and dropped balls!

| At least the players are going into this one knowing that they can hang in there and pull something out of the fire, even when things get tough;. Sunday's was the best kind of win to foster self-belief and team unity; let's hope we can capitalise on it!

| Not confident at all about next week; HKR seem to have recruited well. That being said I think Trin did a lot of good things that seem to have been forgotten forward pack particularly. Wonder what reception Craig Hall will get from the travelling fans.

I indeed stand corrected. It's just the feeling I have about them. Clearly the losses affected me more than the wins did!!!
I do remember though, when we thought we were doing ok, that Agar changed a few things and Hull KR hammered us. The forum went in to meltdown over that one.
It worries me every time we get a good win that we feel that we all have raised expectation and are then floored when it doesn't go right.
Cas are clearly not the team of last year (though I don't think they are a bad side) but Hull KR have improved their team and seem to be hitting it off straight away.
My only thing with Rovers now is that the half backs almost play like you've put the Johns brothers in an average side. They wouldn't improve the whole side in one day but they'd be playing harlem globetrotters stuff with each other.
On the highlights it looked like those two were trying everything and it came off with all the excitement, and when Leeds started doing the same it was a lottery.
We should be bringing a disciplined game with people who have played together. Hopefully that will keep them under control and we won't get drawn into a wild-pass-athon

Woulnd't say vey confident but I do think we can turn them over. Like you say they have a good back line but we need to get our forwards going fom the whistle this game. Keep hammering them down the middle and try to shut down Campese playing his game and hopefully that will do the trick. If we want to get away from near the bottom and close to the 8, it's games like this we need to win and playing Hull KR 2nd game when they'll still be gelling is the right time.

| Looking forward to this, should be an good game. I hope the weather holds up allowing a good standard of rugby. I wouldn't look to much into our weak forward pack....against leeds we had weyman ( our best prop), bailey and jordan cox all missing who all should be back this week, so that should help strengthen it up. Allgood and walker both went toe t' toe with the leeds forwards so should be fairly even keel.
I wonder what effect the big derby win has on you, it could either emotionally drain you or really get your confidence going. When we have had tight encounters with FC in the past we always come out drained the next game and flatter to deceive, but maybe been early season may mitigate that.
Kelly Vs Smith should be a cracker, always liked smith me very clever player so that should be a good dual.
With Regards Craig Hall - he will get a fantastic reception, unless he scores!! played well for us on numerous occasions and was a victim of the sandercock regime of loving aussies. I think 6 is his best position but you are playing fullback aint ya? still as a 3rd pivot i can maybe see that work n all.
All the best for sunday, see you there!
