| Quote vastman="vastman"What a load of self pitying drivel even for us, no wonder Leeds fans goad us as a small town club.
I've seen and heard Neil Fox mentioned loads of times but he would be as he attends every match - Boston possibly doesn't.
Neil Fox was interviewed in 2006 by Sky as to who should take over as coach from Smith - it was instrumental in Kear signing up - how reverential do you need them to be to the great man!
Come on lets drop the poor little us stuff.'"
Spot on.
Lock the thread.

| When I saw this thread I thought someone had trawled through the archives to our halcyon days.
It was just before my time unfortunately, however, as a young lad just starting work, a bloke who “mentored” me was of the opinion that whenever Wakefield played Wigan, Boston was put in the centres to intimidate Big Neil & he was adamant it usually paid off.
Not sure of the truth as he was the biggest wind-up merchant in Christendon .

| Maybe it's much simpler than that, maybe they can't pick N Fox out in the murky lights of the East stand?

That's exactly what I was thinking. He doesn't sit at the front so would be hard to see if you didn't know where he was.
Always sits with Ian Brooke. They'd have loads of great footage of those two playing together if they knew.

Fully agree on this.
He was on Super League Supermen last year as well.
I'm going to go with the theory on the lighting at BV in the main stand. The shot would look awful on TV, especially at night!
It's a silly argument anyway, both are great legends of the sport, and it's great to see any of them on TV looking fit and well.

One example of that was the 1960 top four play off final at Odsal, Foxy went over in the corner in the first few minutes and we led 3-0 Boston then dead legged him he took no further part and we lost 27-3.

It was Bazzo, he took the wife to that game on his honeymoon, he said he remembers it well because he found a half crown whatever that is on the floor going into the ground, he does not need any excuse to talk about the good old days'.

I think that too. Boston was a great winger and scored loads of tries but a lot were made for him by Ashton.
Kenny Hirst never had a problem tackling him though big as he was!
