| Quote Jack the Beagle="Jack the Beagle"Yep, I posted whilst he was here that the lad had talent ,but on here and on the terraces he was 'hounded out'.Don't blame Agar, the majority of 'experts' got what they wished for.'"
Unlike several others hounded on here and the terraces who are still with us and first choice, the experts on here are not the reason othewise why would Washbrook/Lynne still be playing for us.

| He should be ashamed he never tried for us. Maybe AGAR never gave him a chance but when in the team he was unfit and dreadful.

| Thought he was an OK player for us to be honest but as others said he made made to be a kicker when actually Collis was bought for that purpose and has never kicked a penalty/conversion since he's arrived.

| The winter nights in your home must be long and miserable. I don't remember him never trying but I do remember many on here being glad to see him leave. I regret you are typical of many on here armchair coaches who know when a player will not meet the grade.
The problem for Isaac John was that he was made the place kicker which was not what he was signed for and his failures just planted the seed that his entire game was flawed. He was then dropped and only played in the weakened squads against the like of Wigan away etc. The heavy losses just increased the blame culture and I bet if we look back at posts of the time the majority will be glad to see him leave.

| Hindsight is a great thing, but i always felt Isaac showed some good signs and should have been given more game time.
IMO he was a victim of being over hyped by people on here before he came, despite having little first grade experience. And probably the general overhyping of everything at the time by the glover regime. Then when he didn't live up to this hype straight away people were soon to shoot him down which obviously didnt do him any good. Think he even cancelled his twitter because of the morons sending him crap. Kicking responsibilities didn't help either. Anyway, well done to the lad

| Rather than use this to criticise even more you'd think some would just understand the issues for player and coach face all the time.
Clearly he was spotted as someone with potential.
I quite liked some of things Isaac John did but it was always a team building process. When it wasn't working for John Sykes became available. Even though John was potentially the better player Sykes was the better fit.
Glad he has found his way.
I'd say it was pretty understanding of Agar and the club to let him leave and build his career again. Many wouldn't have.
We are now in a similar position. Players finding it hard to get a good fit for a team.
Time and patience may give us better results!

| While with us he did not show any sign of the player he has become that might or might not have been due to how Agar wanted him to play.It could also be that he missed home and wasn't happy and that effected his game.Sykes came along and that was the end of the story for him so he might not have been one of Agars chosen ones.Choose what may he has proven some of us wrong me included but good luck to the lad.

| Always looked a decent player with an excellent cut out pass. For whatever reason he never properly settled and spent much time out of the match day squad due to Agar dropping on the Sykes/Smith combo. Not surprised to see him progress as well as he has.

| He was pretty average for us and no better than our other half options. Fair play to him now but he didn't perform to his best at us for one reason or another.

| I thought he looked good for us when he played, but whenever he paired up with tim smith it did not seem to work.
Agar chose to keep smith and let john go. Rightly or wrongly

| I thought he looked ok for us without standing out but for whatever reason the partnership between him and Tim didn't work. Agar could see this and switched Sykes into the Halfs and from then on the team clicked so nobody can have a go at Agar for doing this.
I will be honest I dont think in the time Isaac was here anyone would say he looked like an international player but sometimes some players just excel in certain environments and I think he must have found one of those at Penrith but not here, he is not the first import to not really settle over here but go back home and rip it up.
I think we also need to point out that we have also taken quite a few players who have not exactly done well at previous clubs and they have done well for us.
