Quote: Tricky2309 "Think he was talking about next season. He was specifically asked about wood and said that they wanted to give wildie an opportunity as he wanted to be here and that injuries are part and parcel of the game and wood could get injured this week. Have people who can cover the position in the squad for now'"

Have to wonder why Agar didn't play Wildie in the halves on monday then.

At the time they didn't know Sykes was gonna be out for 6 weeks plus see previous comments about giving wildie a chance at replacement hooker

Quote: Theboyem "If we are not sustainable without AG's input, why at the start of the season did he claim we were pretty much now breaking even?'"

We may be, in terms of money spent throughout the actual season on players, staff, ground rent, etc. We may, however, have other debts to service with different strings attached.

Quote: Theboyem "Why if we are a new company would we have court cases from the previous regime effecting us? They would have died with the old company surely?'"

Did the RFL not lend us money to play players'/staff wages at the time? If so, there may have been others with an equal claim.

Quote: Theboyem "If he admits we are so short of cover in the halves, why did they release Kyle Wood?'"

Because he isn't that good that he would make much of a difference either way?

All very noble but injuries are common place and leaving us with a lack of cover might just cost us a top 8 place. Lets hope not.

JE didn't say the bit about Sykes that was just me trying to suggest why the decision was made at the time it was made

I wasn't talking about the loan. I was under the impression you just meant his impending transfer. It would be right to elt him go at the end of the season in my opinion. I don't know why Agar has let him go at this moment.

The CCJ's and court cases are all against spirit of 1873, not Wakefield Trinity RLFC. Surely then they have to have been accrued since then?

True to some extent although he'd be a better bet that Danny Washbrook at 6!

Lets hope all is in order and we ride it out and progress. I do though have a horrible feeling of history repeating at present.

Can't quote you properly, 'cos you've embedded some of your comments in the previous quote, however:

Not breaking even: We may be close to covering operating costs, but saddled with other debt, whatever that may be.

Historical debt: The CCJs, as far as I recall, are related to bills that we don't believe we should have to pay, or at least not the amount billed, because the services have not been delivered as expected. This has been done a zillion times, and I don't know the answers. All I know is that JE explained the matter to the ST at the time, and it seemed to make sense to them, so who am I to question that?

Wood: It's all about opinions. Maybe the coach had no choice, because we needed the extra money; maybe he thought we could loan him off because it would make little difference and save us some cash into the bargain. From what I've seen of him as a player, I don't mind him at all, but I doubt even he would see himself as the difference between us making the playoffs and not.

Yeah buggered the quotes up cos i was doing it on my phone.

It would be interesting to know from the ST commitee then what the situation is. As a trust member i never received any feedback on the matter. I also gave a witness statement for the clubs court case against Macron but never heard a peep afterwards. If as 'members' of this club together we are stronger then they need to start keeping up to that motto cos right now i feel like walking away for good.

I posted on here an explanation of the CCJ's at the time we had threads about them after contact with James Elston. I explained that they related to old debts that were disputed and disagreements over quality of service. I also posted information about the HMRC winding up order some time ago to allay peoples fears.

I spoke with James on the recent administration rumour and was informed that whilst times were difficult we would not be entering administration but we decided to let the rumours die naturally rather than commenting and possibly fueling the fire even more.

I didn't hear James's interview but the fact is like many other businesses in this Country we are facing challenging times financially. Cash flow is always going to be a problem and unlike some Clubs we don't have a mega millionaire who can bank roll them.

We have a business plan that will make the Club financially sustainable when we move to Newmarket but up to then things will be difficult and we all need to pull together to ensure our survival at the top level until that day comes.

I know that most on here love Wakefield Trinity and are concerned about its well being but posting rumours of administration or reporting on CCJ's is not going to help the situation. All it does is raise concerns and puts off investment from sponsors etc. We even had people wondering whether to take up the offer on Season Tickets because of this.

The Trust and the Club do not intent commenting every time someone post a rumour on this Board but we will inform Members if we have information and facts that we feel needs to be raised.

We all need to back Andrew Glover, James Elston and all at the Club and support them and the Club in any way we can through these difficult times. Newmarket will happen and will result in a great future for Wakefield Trinity but we need to go there with a substantial support base so we need to stick with the Club.

I know its becoming a cliche but TOGETHER WE REALLY ARE STRONGER

More importantly, why did we take him from Shudds in the 1st place! Never Super League standard even when he comes on for his 9 minute spell when everyone else is knackered.

I got on the Agar bashing bandwagon earlier in the season, about his selection policy. But to release Wood, in my opinion is no big deal. Since Sykes came back from his hammy injury, Tim Smith has looked back to his best. Seems Smith plays better with a 'holding' stand off, this could be why Washbrook may get the nod at 6. Wildie at interchange 9 and allowing Wood to leave, saves a bit of money on a player that is leaving anyway

Agar with this one is giving the fans what they have been asking for all season. A chance for Wildie to stake a regular spot for next year, at the expense of a player who is ok on his day but nothing special. Can't see what the problem is. If Sykes had not got injured, most people would have said it was a masterstroke by Agar to off load Wood before his contract ends.
