Yeah look at Wigan..look at the players they have , not their fitness levels...compare the number of folk who have played at international/ state of origin level hey and yes they even got beat by Harlequins tonight. Its not physical fitness, in days gone by we would not have been still 'trying' to score in last ten minutes etc , we lost because of our lack of idea in attack and because we have lost three of our top players and not replaced them with like ...Newton/ Tronc / Brough add to that Morrison and the team we thought we had at the start of season has had its best players taken from it. Which of todays players would get in the Wigan team and therin lies your answer

It's exactly the same Wigan team as last year, same internstionals that just about got to the playoffs. So what's different this year compared to last? Sorry but our fitness levels aren't upto scratch

point is Wigan + international , Wakey not. Again how many of our team from last night do you think would get into their team ? Richard Moore maybe. That is where our problem lies. Quality not fitness. Jessica Ennis is super fit but 13 of her in our team would not make us beat anyone.

with thurston at scrum half and 12 of us on here playing with him wouldn't do anything either. I agree quality is lacking and they do have more but they had that last year. Exactly the same bar deacon. They had a piece on boots and all pre season and showed what a massive focus on fitness maguire had brought in and isn't it working? Same could be said for hudds. They move with intesity as one, have Several players wanting to back players up, there line speed is awesome. You don't need to be a world beater to back up or to get off your line get in there faces and make the tackle before they make decent yards. Falling off tackles and slapping at people because there that knackered to make it properly or the defensive lines like a dogs hind leg also.

Do they have to do their own fitness at Total Fitness ?...have heard a rumour that there attendance i.e swiping in and out is monitored back at BV, and as long as it shows they are swiping in and spending a reasonable amount of time in there then everything is ok...the fact that some may just use the jacuzzi, steam room matters not...then again it might just be rehab ?

Just because somebody attends a gym does not mean they are utilising it properly. Rehab and recovery is crucial to a player but that does not mean they are using the physical part of the gym to the best value of their game. Bicep curls dont make a better player.

far from it, there is a gym on site at Belle Vue, the graft goes on there, they are VERY carefully monitored, regards everything, food, exercise, sleep etc. In addition they have even had a foot specialist this year. To suggest this amount of supervision when the conditioner is an academic seems ridiculous. I know fact CS works incredibly hard, is extremely skilled and we are very lucky to have him.

I have always had 2 concerns about Colin Sanctuary non are to do with his commitment or undoubted knowledge. I am not confident his people skills are great and I am not sure his knowledge of the game is top notch.
