| A statement will be announced confirming Wakefield's new coach in the future.
Do you think the new coach will be at the helm for round one of Super League XVIIII ?

Vitriolic? You must have an odd definition of that word. I've said he's a nice bloke (no swear filter), but an incompetent head coach. If that constitutes 'vitriol' in your world, then you must be a sensitive little soul.
Look, I didn't come on here for an argument. I came here to show solidarity with fans of a club I have a degree of affection for. I genuinely hope Agar isn't appointed as your coach as I'd hate to see him do to your club what he's done to mine. If you don't like this sentiment, fair enough. But my opinions are far from vitriolic and they're far from unique. You only have to see the sheer joy his departure was greeted with on the Hull board as evidence.

That's what happens when people respond. It's called a discussion and is kinda what these boards are here for. Never mind, you seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder about something, so I'll let you get on with it. By the way, your refusal to actually answer any of the points in my last post is duly noted.

He says he will sort it on Saturday for you
Im with you, I will support the club no matter what I just want it announced so we loads more people can stampede the club for season tickets.

Cheers - I think it's almost nailed on Obst will be back. Agree it's unlikely Burrow will come. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

I accept you have toned the wording down a bit now. It seemed a bit full on at first.
I guess we are in different positions. You are letting a coach go that hasn't achieved what you want him to achieve
We are getting a new coach that may well bring us what we want but we don't know.
You can be negative about yours as he is being replaced.
It is important that we don't alienate our coach before he has even started
The fact that it is possibly the same guy doesn't really change that.
I have a soft spot for Hull harping back to the Topliss and Skerret days so hope you do well with new set up. I can see why Agar isn't in it, but I'm not sure it is as simple as him not being capable.
As you say time will tell.

It didn't seem to affect him at the KC.

Hmm, sounds remarkably similar to what we’ve had over the past two seasons.
I did say a while ago, half jesting, the names of Goulding and Schofield were possibly being leaked by the club to make the appointment of Agar seem the better option, but if that’s the quality of coach the club have received applications from then Agar isn’t the worst choice. Can’t say I’m not disappointed, but should it happen it’s a fresh start and a clean slate in my view and it isn’t something hat would stop me from getting a season ticket.

Which points are those?
If you mean your post on the other thread they're answered.
My point here is much the same as Pop Tarts, I can build a strong case against the appointment of Shaun McRae, stronger than that against Richard Agar. Indeed there's no reason to doubt that a change of club or role won't be the making of Agars career but McRae has moved around various clubs and competitions without significant improvement in fact he's got worse.

I agree that McRaes coaching methods are possibly out of date and undoubtedly don't work. From watching him on TV, you can see he knows a lot about the game. It appest to me that his position at Hull is comparable to most SL chairman. He'll be the director in charge of Rugby rather than a Jon Sharp role were the DOR is on the training field every day. In that position I think he's a great candidate. I'd wager he knows far more about RL than people in comparable positions e.g. Kath Hetherington. He's been brought into to negate Adam Pearson's lack of RL knowledge.
