If you don’t mind and being a stats guy, what was Agar’s winning percentage whilst our coach compared to Chester.

I seem to recall that a minimum of 18 games have to be played to get into the play offs for the percentage to count. It must be the same at the bottom hence I believe the reason for no relegation rumours etc this season

| I knew when Hudds pulled it back to 14 - 18 we would go on to lose.
I can't even get angry any more, I just laughed out loud at the final score and did something else.
It used to ruin my weekend when Trinity lost, now it barely registers, my love for the club is getting sucked out of me.

Agree with this completely, as soon as they went over in the second half you knew it was over. Unfortunately it still annoyed me and ruined my afternoon.

Sadly I can't say I disagree. I don't think it's quite as simplistic as that but I can't really argue.

Fans, as we are making clear on here are very fickle.
If he gets his new deal and sign and great player or two they'll stay,.
If we win games. They'll stay.
The world doesn't revolve around Chester's contract.
All the drama queening on here is as depressing as the performance yesterday.

Same here.
The tragedy is that Covid was already undermining people's support for the club after what was initially strong support from the fans. A lot of people myself included pumped in a lot of extra cash in that first year and I do feel betrayed now,
People don't need excuses to stop supporting Trinity, it's not a club for the faint-hearted. Covid, Chester, and the players between them have conspired to give every fan a reasonable excuse to walk away,
If MC thinks they will come back he's mistaken. Once you've lost the habit you rarely get it back. That is why he has to act IMHO, because nothing else other than the sacrifice of CC will now stop the hemorrhaging of support. I'm not defending it or encouraging it but we all know how the world works.
I think back to that night where we destroyed Leeds at Headingly and how I felt for the first time ever that we were on the edge of real success and wonder how we are now where we are. I could weep.

I'd have agreed with that a week ago but it's gone too far. Something has to give, it's not the defeat, it's the manner of the defeat and just how predictable it was.
It may be drama queening from some but not from me, if I thought there was the slightest chance CC could turn it around I'd still be backing him but I don't think any signings can now reverse the rot.

I agree. There has to be a change.
I'm just making the point that wins will bring people in, not Chester's contract.
With that in mind, which would you prefer.
In the new league system.
Scrape occasional wins to stay in SL 1 or dominate SL 2?

Firstly why do you think we would 'dominate' a SL2? And secondly so you actually believe that SL2 will be anything other than the championship once the next TV deal is struck, literally a season after it is slated start? Sorry but i think you are being naive if you think the top 10 won't move to protect themselves.

Oh come on now !!!
SL 2 is a poor mans championship and from what I have heard will have no more money probably less. How will they club service their loan to survive. Its SL1 or bust.
However in all fairness, everything about Wakey at the moment stinks of a poor championship out fit. Hand on heart the club fails in so many areas to be seen as a credible member of the top 10.

CC bringing in 'new' players is like taking flat batteries out of a remote control car and putting them on a warm radiator. You put them back in and they work great for a short time, then they end up no better than before after while.
Short term gain for long term pain.
It is the CC contract situation that is putting people off and if you can't see that, you're blinkered.

| A new signing would automatically generate enthusiasm but I sense that we have gone so far down it will change nothing because we all know what the end result will be.

I'm not blinkered to CC. I seem to be blinkered to the putting people off bit.
There is a lot of talk but so far numbers don't seem to be down as we are restricted anyway.
I can't see it being a big crowd v Warrington, though I'll be there, but a good performance will soon change minds short term.
So I just feel like the world is going to end brigade are quoting facts that haven't actually happened yet.
Not saying they are wrong, but it's not as simple as changing Chester will make the world beautiful again.
