Goodness me - does that conform to a threat of harm above???
I don't think we've seen the best of Owen yet. He scored tries for fun at Cas before his injury, but hasn't quite hit that mark yet. That may be down to the players he is playing along side; it may be down to style of play - Wakey wingers seem to do more yardage from the back than most sides - or it could be this....
I reckon (just an opinion), that Richie was a little bit daunted by the move across to Wakey. He signed for Cas young and has been there his whole career and probably wasn't expecting a move at this time! I think it's taken him a little while to adjust to a new team, new structures, new routine etc etc, as he doesn't seem the most confident person in the world! That the club have seen enough in him to grant him a 3 year contract is good for me. Since JE stopped doing the recruitment we have tended to be quite cute with our signings and we extract good value from what we do spend!
If my theory is correct, then, after a full close season and having had time to become more familiar with his surroundings and adjusting to his new role, we should have another player who will do a great job for us!
Good luck Richie - you can win this lot over!
