Great article that, lays out his plans very clearly. Capacity's up to 9,200 now. South east corner being converted into club shop and cafe by 2026. Cracking on with west stand roof, gantry and hopefully new terracing (by 2026?). North stand extension when crowds are up to 9,000, which would take us up to 11,000 capacity. What a ground that would be.
Then in the unlikely event we'd ever need more capacity, I suppose we'd build a new stand on the south side.
Pipe dream I know... but if we was ever going to build a stand in the south. I'd love to see something like the East stand at Headingly, with the standing below and the seating above with hospitality in it. Something along those lines

| Absolutely. I suppose that's the dream - still plenty of space to accommodate sponsors and players, but with seating and standing to increase capacity. But with the money already spent on improving the boxes and the terrace in front, I suppose it'd only be considered if things skyrocket. But why not dream!
All these planning processes are great because they show the limitations of the ground as well as the potential. The West stand works alone will make an enormous difference to how the ground feels and sounds on game day, but the planning objections/revisions show that's about as much we can improve and increase the capacity on that side. It'll be a great away shed. Same regarding the north stand - the planning shows we can get another 2,000 in there, using all the space behind it and making it a proper 'spion kop'. After that, as Ellis says, we're landlocked.

| The difficult part to me is, the bigger in attendance terms you make the west, the harder it is to get capacity, as you are relying on away support. If part of that was for Wakefield supporters we could build our fan Base and see the results in attendance. It would be a shame to sell out all parts of the ground but still have 1000 spare when Catalan or Huddersfield come to town.
Where the away support area is seated like at HullKR, it's easier to segregate and switch where the tickets start.

Believe that will be possible. Also, we could just stick teams with support like Shudds/Cats in the end of the East Stand - just like what happens to us sometimes when we go to certain grounds....

| You can normally buy tickets for the West stand no problem, no matter who you support. There’s usually a sprinkling of Wakey fans in there now, and I imagine that’ll remain the case with a roof on. No need to segregate IMO, just fill it.

We sold a number of season tickets at the start of the year in the West once the north sold out so we have season ticket holders in there. As you say I think a few purchase there too. Every week there seems a few hundred trinity fans on the northern side of the west. I sit opposite in the east so it’s clearly visible there are a few hundred trinity fans there already. That number hopefully will grow. The new works will help and new facilities. I just hope the terracing and new barriers matching the north will be re-done too as it will look very tidy indeed. It’s a shame the originally discussed roof bar area isn’t an option. I presume because of the height. I’d still much rather have the north done first but I really hope we can keep the upward trend in crowds to justify more works. To be selling out a 10-11k stadium with new east, improved west and new north stand would be excellent.

| If it's still permitted next season, and I haven't died obviously. I think I'll get back onto the Western Terrace.

| Great news, I sit in the east stand and spent a lifetime stood on the north terrace. From my viewing point it' looks a very modern area sweeping round from the top of the western terrace all the way to the east stand. Once the west stand is completed we'll have a modern fit for purpose stadium.
It takes some getting my head round how much Wakefield Trinity has changed over the last 2 years both on and off the field.. Thanks Matt.

| confirms the capacity at 9200 then, something to aim for... you'd like to think the Leeds at home game is one we would be aiming at getting close to that figure

Leeds game is probably a really good opportunity to put some extra entertainment on and go that extra mile to see how far exactly we can push to that 9.2k. If we can tempt a big following from Leeds too that would be good.

| See no reason why we can't push the Catalan game with the offer the club has on. Get into the schools with tickets and fill the place.
