We need a new ground ours is worsed of the lot no atmosphere, awful parking, dear prices, scrambling over people to sit down in the stand the list is endless and been a supporter for 20 years watching us there; I am plain bored with it and the majority of wakey fans are. We deserve a new ground before CAS !! hence the name
I would love to know your reason for you deserving a new stadium before us. There's no queuing system - it's all done on finances and whether you have them.

Fully
There is a theory on this forum that NGB4C is a troll. He hooks many people with plain ridiculous statements so I wouldn't exert too much effort in confronting him.

Well thats Cas and Waystones out of the race!
We on the other hand can fund the project. All we need is the political will. And believe me if we feel a shafting coming before Sept we will take to the streets.
We need him out. I think we need to seriously look at what is the legislation and whether it's possible for citizens to lodge a vote of no confidence.

... and if you don't have them, whether you can appropriate assets promised in equal measure to both you and your rivals, so you can borrow against them to ensure you ultimately do have the finances.
Just to make matters perfectly clear here.

| just to throw a spanner in the works. As I understand cas have planning permission but no money and wakey have the money but no planning if this is true and wakey do move to gh surely cas would be the lodgers as they would be putting the most money in.May have facts wrong but interesting if true.

Not true. Cas have outline planning, but no full planning permission. They also have money, but not enough. That's why they want the land asset promised to Wakey to borrow against so they can complete. If they didn't need it, they would have completed. Otherwise, there would have been no need for Box to re-draw the line. Everyone could have got on with their own thing at their own pace. Simple as that.

| I'm not sure Wakefield have the full amount of money either. As I've said a few days ago, that is probably why this has been forced upon us.
As for us needing you, not entirely. If Newmarket falls through, where will/would you have turned then? How long is Belle Vue available to you for?
A groundshare at GH may be the only viable option, at least in the short-term until you get on your own two feet. Would you accept that? A short-term plan to move to GH until Newmarket is in a viable position to be built?

Wakey don't own the asset though, do they? It belongs to the council. And after some spurious feasibility study, they can re-designate it with a clear conscience. Costs them nothing but the study, and the study covers their backs.

| A lot of this is purely guesswork from both parties and the only true people that know the situation are those involved.
It would be good if all the information was available - but I'm sure that will be given in the feasibility study.

How more patronising can you get? You're not exactly standing on your own two feet either, are you? Until the council give you that much needed leg up, that is.

No, but the point is, GH could probably get started and half-built with or without you involved. I'm merely questioning whether you moving to GH for a year whilst the planning issues at Newmarket are resolved (if the RFL would allow that) would you take it?
Put it this way, I'm sure neither club - even if we're going into a groundshare - would EVER give up on their dream of their own stadium. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if plans were continued onwards for the next three years.

I'm sure the feasibility study will tell us exactly what the council need to hear to justify the re-designation of the land assets. It will buy you a stadium, and buy us bugger all. Don't try fobbing everything off on the feasibility study - that's Box's game. He's beaten you to it.
