My point of view is that we would be stupid not keeping jm on for at least a year. He will know exactly the ins and outs of the club and img. For me he would be the glue that holds everything together whilst new owners hopefully get up to speed. Running businesses and professional sports clubs are two different animals. Anyone with sense doesn't throw away knowledge.

yes it would be very stupid keeping someone who as failed and run us into the championship. This is great, I've got right under skin. Suck it up

Just shows a lack of understanding of what his role is.

Quote: bellycouldtackle "We took less in than we made is a new concept !!! a trading loss I think means we spent more money than we took in and the effect is that you do run out of cash. Just like any household knows, so a trading loss in 2022 is very relevant unless you have someone to pay money in to cover the loss, or 2023 is a big profit making year, sadly the directors have already advised that 2023 will be another big loss.'"

Unless you already had cash and unless cut costs afterwards.
Annual p&l does not consider your position. Only what you did in that year.

The thing is Mopsey and a couple of others I don't have a vendetta against anyone and can take a step back snd look at it logically. Does nor make not to use all the info jm has good and bad and not use it . There as to be a dmooth transgression and he In my mind helps that no end. Don't let being relegated and a smooth rakeover blinker the real issue. Mistakes have been made snd will again whoever takes over , but there has to be middle man in all good takeovers and to me he is the man. Think we would all agree he appears to be a good man not a crook.

all I want out of my club, for myself and the rest of the fans is some hope, hope that we can get a good side together, hope that we could one day run close and maybe deliver something. I've had nearly 50 years of this now since I was a kid and to be honest I'm sick of it. Relegation is a complete nightmare, there's no guarantee we will ever come back and watching in the 80s was horrific. I honestly feel that over the years the fans have had the pxxs took out of them enough. Lastly I don't think he's a crook and I believe for a few years Carter and minnards have done their best but it's ended with the here and now with imo failure and this season as been shocking. Ultimately we are a sports team and on field performances matter, the takeover can't come soon enough

Takeovers in Pro sport happen all the time, directors don't stay on they leave on the day the club changes hand.
Our problem is , that we didn't have a CEO who could have managed the change. To me Minards was quite happy to see Carter do this role as well as director of rugby and that is why our squad is a useless shambles.

For all we know , Matt Ellis may already be lining up a competent and experienced CEO who will do a far better job than Minards, who after all is not expert in rugby League or running a sports club.

Plenty on here seem to trust Minards, so let's trust Matt Ellis if he takes over. It's only my opinion from what I hear he doesn't need or want Minards.

After reading that mopsey it’s very evident you bleed red, white and blue like many on here. There are a lot of different opinions and arguments about what’s going on etc, but the majority who post on here all have at least 1 thing in common, that’s they want what’s best for our team, but in their own specific way. I’m in my early 30’s so missed the 80’s Trinity, but I’ve heard it was grim for large parts. I don’t want to get to my 6/70’s and still be stuck trophyless and in the championship. My dads In his 60’s and I’d love for us to win something meaningful while we’re still watching together.

Yes good post Pat,
Luckily I have seen us win stuff including Wembley and championships and also attended those events. I have seen us have a great team who feared no one and could beat everyone.
Perhaps that's why I may come over arsy and miserable after years of watching a once great club becoming a shambles and badly run so many times. I tell you it's extremely frustrating.

This is good sensible statements without and vendetta against anyone. Agree we all want some success but I have been round sport a long time rugby football cricket and couple of things I know is that in a league someone always comes bottom and it is our turn but great believer in what goes around comes around and not failed me yet. Might be a while but one step back is not always bad as I have learnt over the years. Would like nothing more than to take son to see us in a meaningful game not relegation. If it helps I was at Wembley in 1960 so have a fair idea there is ups and downs in all sport.

Yes but like Mopsey, I remember the early 80's it was horrible. Don't ever want to go through that again. The trouble is many think it will be a breeze to get back up, I am not too sure on that. Also I don't trust the game like I used to, Who knows once the chosen few at the top get their favoured clubs, there may not be a place for us and the draw bridge could shut. That's why I think it was totally irresponsible by Minards and Carter to go this most important season with such a poor squad and coach, I will never ever forgive them for that !!!

Over our recent history we’ve been on the ropes so many times and been given a standing count ,and always managed to stagger on until now .As as a long suffering fan I feel a sense of relief which is weird to say we are heading into the unknown as a club , but things had to change ,break it down and build from the bottom up ,and this has been a wake up call like no other . The creaking gate has finally given up the ghost , but hopefully a new dynamic club will rise up from the ashes ,and give us all hope for the future and give us what we’ve wanted for far too long

The problem is at the end of next season there is no promotion or relegation. We are basically back to a type of franchising where other criteria are taken into consideration. The longer we are out the chances of returning diminish so I disagree that this was a good season to be relegated. This sounds like somebody making excuses for their obvious failures.
