| I think I bought the same shower.. it only ran red hot or freezing cold, but I took it back to B&Q and they gave me a refund. Has JK kept the receipt?

Maybe not! But a coach born in Cas who still watches them for pleasure wouldn't be ideal either!
Quote: Tommy Duckfingers "Quote: Tommy Duckfingers "He's been at Wakefield through relegation struggles and been part of Leeds championship winning side and coaching set up, plenty of knowledge/experience from a class player, talker and man. But Kear won finals in 1873/1879 and kept us up in 1896.'"
So what you are saying is Willie is a nice guy who was a decent player but has no head coach experience.
Yep, can't see why we wouldn't want to emply him.'"
Either a coach of a NL side or a someone young and fresh from SL's highest level, someone learning the ropes who has been around a World club championship winning side. Someone who has a player not only played extremely well for Wakefield but also gave 110% and encouraged his team-mates. "FOSTERS!!!"
Seems so obvious it hurts.

I agree, if he'd just signed the NRL dream team for last year then we wouldn't be in this mess! Is he thick or something?

| A number of players are not up to scratch and we are playing some pretty dire rugby league. However this could be said for all but a very small number of seasons over the last 20 years. Thing is is there any real evidence that anybody else would be any better or be able to sign any better players? History says not as Kear has produced better league finishes and a better cup run than pretty much every coach in the last 20 years. If there is someone out there who wants to coach us has a proven track record of getting results in SL or better standard on a shoe string budget then I am more than happy to see Kear walk. What I don't want is Kear to go to be replaced by Broadbent because he's the cheapest option or poching because he's a really nice guy and used to play for us.

| I dont think anyone can argue that without JK we would have been in the Championship - but thats where kear is at is best 6 games to go, written off by everyone and he comes up with the goods.
Over the last 2 seasons we have puched well above our weight however we have had players who can win us games. Whilst JK has been unlucky this season with the loss of Newton, Tronc and the dubious sale of Brough after already losing some big name players from last seasons team I think the players are now looking like they need a change.
I think JK has taken us as far as he can and done a great job - however when our form is that up and down and players seem to be struggling for motivation and desire you have to question JK's position and the book does stop with him. If we do win this weekend this only highlights this even further!!!
Also, recently the opposition seems to be outsmarting us and non more so that Sunday - that second half Kear had no idea how to change things and the players looked even more clueless. Plus we are also starting to play a brand of rugby that is seriously boring and seems to be getting worse and worse.
Time for a change - I can sense a big willie coming our way...

Not the fact hes been assistant coach at the League champions for the past 3 seasons, will bring a winning fresh culture to the club and along with Franny has basically run the Rhinos at first team level.

If this is true why are the Rhinos getting rid of the two people who have masterminded their triple winning team? Also it's alright winning trophies on the back of 17,000+ crowds and money to have provern international quality players in most positions but it's a bit different with no money and only able to sign cast offs and gambling on those who have gone off the rails.

From what iv heard they are a bit fed up at Leeds with certain ppl ie Barrie Mcdermott being Head of Youth and is never there at the club due to TV commitments, Bluey is difficult to work with and also they feel they are ready to step upto first team head coach.
Do you honestly think Leeds would get rid of them otherwise?? Theres a bigger picture going on behind the scenes at Leeds at the moment. You only have to look at their stuttering academy at present ie conceding 90+ points at warrington.
Im also not denying they have money and international players through the board but even so they must be doing something right to win it 3 years on the bounce. I also dont distpute the fact that being Head Coach at wakey on a budget and wheeling and dealing is totally different. However, young coaches of this calibre (you can include Francis Cummings in this too) are not flying round at the moment.
If Kear was to go either Franny or Willie would be my first choice to replace him.

| Quote: PopTart "The fact that these posts slowed down after the Hull win and then picked up after the Cas loss, just shows how shallow and ill thought through the "Kear Out" threads are.
The team simply let a game that was going our way slip away because a) we made a few errors and b) they stopped making theirs. Could easily have been the other way.
It strikes me Mopsey that you can't possibly have ever played sport yourself, even at school. These things happen. You can't just win every game. It doesn't work that way. Nor does it mean that when you lose a game everybody who played was rubbish. Sometimes luck doesn't go your way. Sometimes the other team are just better on the day. It is very rarely that the team or any individual can't be bothered as is usually the reason people gravitate towards on these types of forums.
The "I've had enough crowd" and the "that's the last straw crowd" seem to simply enjoy the moaning. If you were seriously upset and wanted to not watch Wakefield (which of course is your right to do so), you wouldn't be bothered to come on here and moan about it either. It just seems you want to bring everybody else down too.
There may be some players going at the end of the season (and 1 that is going that should have another year in my opinion) but Kear must still be here. He is why we are aiming for the 8 rather than fighting with Catalan for bottom spot.'"
I class myself as one of the get Kear out crowd. 2 wins in the last 13, pee poor rugby and the fact that he is clearly trying to find another job are the simple reasons - He has done well for us in the past and has made a reasonable living out of his time with us - the relationship is no longing working to either parties benefit and therefore a termination is the only solution

| Quote: Mary Millington "He can only field what the club can afford.
I understand it's frustrating for all of us who are Trinity through & through. Is it JK's fault Brough wanted to go? Is it JK's fault the spineless Tronc wanted to go home for a few more beach BBQ's? Did JK inject Terry with Jonny Vegas drugs to bulk him up?
No.
Rip up all your pre-season, your pivotal players gone and your season is well and truely poop.
Sign inadequate replacements (that were only available at the time and what the club could/can/want to afford) and this is what we're left with. We'll have to stick with it until the end of this season.
There's no doubt there's going to be a lot of player personnel change after this season and let's wait and see what 'calibre' it is.
If, once again, we end up with over-the-hill-end-of-career type of individuals, the fans will make their own mind up.
We're not stupid.....well, some of us aren't.
See you Sunday!
PS - If we're all going Willie Poching crazy, can't he carry the water for us instead of Leeds?'"
We are being told that the club cannot attract decent players cos of the uncertainty over the franchise - so far the players we are linked with are distinctly average and/or unproven at SL level
