| He said basically the team keep making the same mistakes, they lack quality, plenty of effort and we are about to turn the corner.
With regards the team anyone watching his coaching master class (which could be open for debate) that we sign grade C players because that is all we can afford or maybe sometimes B- if lucky.

| Doesn't help when there's quality not in the 17 in Brad Walker.
Don't know what he's done wrong or why we've signed him.
2 years of his RL career wasted, a bit like George King!

I posted about this elsewhere.
It's specifically the first 6 games of the season, including cup games (even against lower league opposition)
I think you need to take into account the teams we have played this year - exclusively all in last year's top 6. (only missing Warrington)
It would be interesting to know if we've ever played only top 6 teams in the first 7 fixtures before?
Edit: and 6 out of the 7 away from home

It's very debatable if we would have fared better against last season bottom six teams!
There are no easy games in SL and I just don't know where our first win is coming from.

We will see when we play them. My point is, it's too early to make a judgement on this season when we've only played top sides, almost exclusively away from home. You can point to the results and the way we've collapsed at times during the games, but the reality is we maybe should have beaten Leeds, we could have beaten Hull FC and even last night, had Kay's try been awarded and we'd gone in front with 10 to go, I would have expected us to win. We were looking pretty dominant up to that point in the 4th quarter.
We seem mentally fragile with errors and periods of lack of concentration or direction. Scoring from pressure also seems to be an issue, but we've played some teams with excellent defences. I still think we're short of on-field leaders to rally the troops and keep the focus during a game.

Too early....you say we lost to good top sides yes on paper we did but are leeds playing well NO did they have alot of injuries YES like i said in my previous post leeds have won 2 of there last 8 both against us.i also feel the hull game was a game we should of won they played a extra time game with only 4 full days to recover.i really admire how positive you are i tried to be for last night game tipping us to win but sadly i was wrong .think where now in a postion we mustwin at least 1 of our next 2 games can i see that happening..no

Again, cherry picking. I guess you're including Leeds' cup loss against Saints. The game they won against us last year was on a 3-day turnaround with a load of kids playing for both sides. (18-20), if you go back just two more games they also lost against us and Cas, so 2 from 10, but that doesn't work so well.
The Leeds game this year is probably one that got away. They had players missing, but their squad is much stronger than ours and the pack they had out that day was not weak, that's where they beat us. A few of our top players are still underperforming by their standards and a club like Wakefield relies on those players.
This may become our worst season ever and we may be relegated, but it's still foo early to tell. I've seen us play some good rugby in spells this year and a run of wins could still turn our season around. We'll see.

More worrying is that Mr Chester as picked the lack of Quality players to join the club

| As a neutral it looks as if your results against Leigh and Salford could be critical. Maybe Leeds too if we don't pick up
But surely Chester's top level experience, especially in tight corners, compared to the likes of Marshall and Duffy suggests it ain't gonna be you that goes down?

| It's about time the club stopped hiding behind the Chester cloak and started to take some responsibility themselves. Chester must be a god send he takes all the flack and never includes MC in any kind of negative comments or criticism.
Funding must improve and before I get the usual comments like we have no money , we'll to carry on like we are is not an option, money must be found to either back Chester or a new manager. It's simply not acceptable to keep wheeling out the skint, skint skint banner, it's the responsibility of the club to provide funds to allow a competitive side to take the field and then back the manager.
Its shameful to allow the present situation to continue in the knowledge that anew manager would almost certainly require funding pot.

Superb post,I couldn't agree more
It is THE CLUBS responsibility to provide the money, this is a business and needs to be treated as such, lets take something simple for example "supermarkets" when they are struggling they go out and get the funds/resources/management team and do what's needed to make them competitive again, they don't just suddenly allow their shop standards to slip or have half empty shelfs and just say "we can't help it we have no money"
Best Post I have read on here
