Either side would lose the standing area if you did use it.

I have to say this would look great at Belle Vue but would alter the place significantly.'"

East stand. The west stand is crying out for a simple full length 'home' terrace.

Personally I'd do the West Stan, the East stand when it's done will need to be something more significant than this. It'll need hospitality, executive boxes etc.. It'll be the main reception for VIPs into the ground and so on.

I'm guessing that if they want rid of that stand they may well be open to the kind of deal that Fev got from Scarbrough, ie it's free but dismantling moving and tidying up the site is at Trinitys cost

Also wanted to say I agree with the west stand being a first for me as well,it's a pity the Chav corner stand couldn't have continued to the North stand if only to smarten it up a bit icon_biggrin.gif

Yes but that wouldn't have anything to do with the deal to acquire it, that would be on us

Didn't Carter say just last week that Belle Vue would be unsuitable for redevelopment?

No. He said it may be, which is very different.

MC said in Sundays programme notes that plans had been put to York Court and the council of what we want. Didn't say anything about timescales though.

Its not what we want, rather more of what is needed. BV may be a compromise, but somewhere between flattening the whole lot and building a new stadium and the proverbial 'lick of paint' is a set amount of work required to a) meet the RFL minimum standards and b) operate a viable club at this level, including the ability to generate income on many more days a year than currently available.

Aslong as we can at least achieve A & B this club has a chance. I always thought the total rebuild of belle vue was a long shot because if the trust could afford that they would have done it at newmarket. If we play smart the redevelopment of belle vue will work, obviously we need a new main stand for the corporates community and 7 day a week use but we've already got the corporate boxes so if start with flattening the west terrace building full length covered terrace as the new home terrace this would change the dinamics of BV considerably and solve the home/away fan problem we have at the moment (away fans back behind the sticks) then move onto East stand with all the facilities then get rid of the boxes and build a south stand. Do this in stages get everyone on board as this could work.

What happened to that new stand at millmoor? Don't think they even finished it before leaving millmoor, there will be lots of these examples knocking about the uk.
