| Really dumb game management. Shocking indiscipline. Another allowed to slip away. Hopefully we learn and grow.

| Typical Trinity performance,we had it and we lost it! Dumb football, and it's so frustrating. When it came to the 'hard slog' part of the game we came up with crucial errors, and it cost us in the end. Can't fault the lads for effort but we're lacking a bit of quality, especially in the kicking department.Got to keep reminding myself that this is a 2/3 year project but every loss hurts badly.

| Disappointing but mainly because we showed that we could
The try under the post was outstanding.
The discipline with our own ball and while defending was just not good enough in second half.
We still kept them out for long stretches but we were just running out of time.
Then Lino's tackle at the end just took it away from us.

If an attacking player in possession is brought down near the goal line and the ball is not grounded it is permissible to place the ball over the line for a try. In this case the tackle has not been completed. The last bit is interesting in relation to the winning try, in that the ball touched the ground before being promoted, or am I reading it wrong.

| Dumb rugby. Had numerous attempts to win that.
Sorry but Makinson was off most of game and not once did we put on an edge play out left.
As much as Rourke has potential he can?t set up any edge plays or pass a ball. We lose way too much without Max?s hands at 1 and running lines wide. Last 3 minutes Rourke walking it diagonal slowly with 20+ yards clear ahead really wound me up at 20-20 too. I do like him and he?s as safe as Martin Holland was but he needs to get far more involved in attacking plays and find a pair of hands from somewhere to reach the level we need.
Seems Walmsley days at trinity are done. Strange but Scott on the edge again today was a head scratcher with 2 wingers in the 21. Considering he played okay though.
I thought that the officials were very le int to the holding down on that second half.
Vagana sin bin incredibly harsh imo. Not sure what Lino was binned for and a penalty. I though ref said high shot dangerous and forceful but the angle showed a hard hit to the chest and the head simply rocked back. You see countless of those week in week out and even Lino said it hit the chest.
Cas coming up and looks like we may have 2 fit props and will now have a makeshift front row and rotations too.
It seems the dam is under serious pressure of bursting. I hope next week we can find a way in a big game because I don?t want to see us dragged into the bottom teams when we have chance to create a huge 6 point gap and keep in touch with top 6.
I?m pretty annoyed at that and the team performance. We are better than that tonight.

On the angle he didn?t check it didn?t even look like he reached the line. It looked short even on the replays too on tv.

| The try was a try because no one was touching him when he hit the ground so he was allowed to get up.
There was a lot of incidents where we just didn't react quickly enough This was one.
The tries we scored were top class.
Although you might not like them, tge yellows were by the book. To be honest I thought Lino might get a red. There's every possibility that we'll be missing Lino next week.
We have two outstanding jumpers for the ball in Roarke and Johnstone. We have to keep giving them opportunities. Kicking to Scott's win was just ridiculous

Yes you?re right, kicking to Scott repeatedly was nothing short of scandalous. If it?s Powells plays then he?s got it wrong but if not he needs to be into Lino for that. It could be better to move Lino to the left edge as it stands. He set up 3 try?s at Bradford on one leg on the left last season. Wrong team selection, wrong tactics and lack of smarts. I was quite angry at the end that we had just gifted that game. All Catalans try?s were soft too compared to our well worked and skillful try?s. We look a team with very little left in the tank. Whether it?s fitness or mental toughness I don?t know but we looked tired that second half and just kept inviting Catalans to our line.

| you might recall ... I was in town for my first live game since 2018... And I loved it... When we got to the stadium and I saw the respective teams I had a huge sinking feeling... That Catalans team was strong... Experienced and battle hardened. What evolved gladdened my heart... The teams desire to play football, the atmosphere in the crowd... Friendly but hugely passionate. Having watched all games on TV this year, on replay most of last... And now live.. All will say is that you guys are so lucky to be a part of this evolving story. Ok... so we were not able to maintain the standard into the second half and Catalans had the players to bring the game back to them ... Keary was massively instrumental in that process... His sin binning seemed to awake a desire in him.
I am very aware I was watching a project.. A bit like the early stages of an art project, in that you can tell its going to be good.... Now I have magic, Warrington and Salford and (win lose or another golden point) I intend to savour every second.
One final point, it was nice to see the Catalans players come across to pay acknowledge the Trinity supporters, particularly Tariq Simms who spent some time pointing and applauding with a facial expression which showed genuine respect.

| Agree with pretty much everything above. Glad you enjoyed the game Spook, it?s a superb atmosphere over there isn?t it.
Was pleased to see Jowitt in the halves and thought he played pretty well. But Lino did have a stinker, particularly in defence. Picking Scott again was disappointing, kicking to his wing even more so. Could Powell really have done video on Reimis Smith and Nick Cotric then instructed his halves to kick out there? If so that?s as astonishing lack of detail and respect.
Thought our pack was outstanding once again. Tough, quick, enterprising with the ball, genuinely entertaining. But I?m in alegend?s camp now - we need some serious strengthening in our back line. We need a winger badly if we want to break into that top 6 next year.
Bit frustrating, but of all the fixtures in most comfortable losing in France, especially if we play well.
