Bang on Slugger and i fear it will take longer to rectify those two mistakes than it took to get the ground sorted.

| Quote: Travelling Wilbury "Couldn't agree more there.
We could argue that our sponsorship money has reduced, but at the end of the day, so has all other clubs. A question to follow this, has the club tried to do any marketing, to try and bring in extra revenue. I think we all know the answer, as it isn't the Carter way. His pig headedness regarding this, amd putting tge onus on fans regarding buying their season tickets is another thing that has annoyed me in the past few years.'"
Actually no - it hasn’t at all other clubs. In a recent fan forum we learnt that our sponsorship at Huddersfield is the highest it’s ever been. Ken Davy realised that trying to grow the fan base to increase revenue was a lost cause so the emphasis was taken away from there. Instead he reduced ticket prices and increased the focus on business sponsorship. The business sponsorship brings in more revenue than money lost to ticket sales.
He didn’t build a financial advice business and sell it for 75 million by not understanding finances!

One subtle difference KD is loaded and makes our lot look like paupers. If we pumped in the money like him we would be OK. Problem is we cant

The money he “pumps in” as you put it all goes into the stadium- something you keep reminding us you don’t need to do because you own it and earn revenue from it.
And yes he has purchased Laund hill for use as a training facility- and the academy /reserve games but this will also be used by the community.
The running of the first team, academy, reserves and the rest is done from the revenue that comes into the club from sky money, ticket sales, sponsorship, merchandise, lottery etc. just like you.

Well there you go then, perhaps those financial genius's on here what know how to run the club could get in touch with Mr Davey to find out where Mr Carter is going wrong.

Is it something you can share with the rest of us, or is it a case of if I tell you, you'll know as much as I do.

I’ve some respect for you Chissit so please don’t take this wrong
I don’t care whether other posters believe what I post or not, I’m not a liar, I post what I KNOW to be true and I don’t speculate. I very much walk a tightrope over what I ought to and ought not to say on here, more often than not I write a post then delete it without posting so as not to cause aggravation.
I love the club as much as anyone on here and don’t wish to see it harmed or want to be negative about it.

| If we don’t have the money to stay in SL then certainly we will not have enough to get out of the championship. We have had how many seasons to improve our finance stream but for some reason we have not.
I wonder if the controller realisers that with relegation comes the loss of prestige, no longer attending meetings, limited media presence and reduced money.
I cannot believe anyone would think investing in a professional sports club is anything but lost money, it certainly isn’t a way to boost your pension, which is a bit worrying for an Accountant not to realise.

I don't blame Carter. The reality is that he's operating on pennies.
But, the below article is following Brian Smith's resignation. What since this was published has changed?
The stadium is a big plus although we've gone the very long way about it. Perhaps someone more in the know can educate me but if we go down does it effect the redevelopment? Are costs reliant on Super League survival?
I just feel very sad it's come to this.

He is incredibly wealthy - it must take an absolute fortune to reanimate oneself on a daily basis.

With regards to the playing side of things, team selection, recruitment, team tactics I leave to the coaching staff, which incidentally would not have been my preferred choice, as would not some of the players, ,but I'm not a coach and I'm loathed to criticise players who do what I'm unable to do, I can understand criticism of the above players and coaching staff by some on here especially those that have played the game but for the life of me fail to understand all this criticism against Carter, he could have people have pointed out got rid of Chester sooner than he did, was there a viable option to Poching?, we're all frustrated and some a bit more bitter than others, I notice your a bit forthright with your criticism towards Carter yourself is that due to your experience in accountancy and business studies based on some of your comments.
