| Salfords line speed forced us down the middle and didn't let us get it out wide.
Salfords forwards gobbled us up down the middle.

| Gutted that we were so dire in such a big game. Pretty much from 1-17 the players were flat and we were never in it. Bitterly disappointed.

| It always sounds lame to blame injuries but come on....Johnstone, Tupou, Kirmond, Fifita, BJB, Miller, Bachelor, and that's only the ones I can think of on the 2 glasses of red anaesthetic watching that needed. Of course we crave a trophy and the disappointment had me kicking the door at 50 mins but lets get real...we have made a significant jump forward this season. If we can get 4 or 5 of those players back on the pitch we can have a decent end to the season. Even tonight, we did not completely capitulate. 10-6 second half and did not lose all shape and spirit

| Our swift deterioration when dealing with the high ball is a worry. Probably cost us the game against Leeds last week and the ball was allowed to bounce two or three times tonight.

Annakin on the other hand...
Having said that a terrible peeformance tonight throughout.
No excuses with injuries or referees.
Players will br hurting now, need to move on, and quickly to the next game.'"
Have to say I disagree. We have a deeper better squad than previously, but not so much that we can take the influential players out that we had tonight

| Miller's long term absence is my biggest worry. I like Liam Finn but without a live spark half next to him he can't play his game. Williams is ok but he ain't Miller and doesn't compliment Finn in the right way. It just doesn't look like it works well togeeher to me compared to Miller/ Finn. Can we get players in at this stage? I don't know the rules. I would be looking for a lively loan half back if there's anything out there and we have the funds. Or Grix? He has looked shaky under high balls the past few weeks. Give Jowitt a run at Full back and Miller a go at 6. Bring Williams off the bench if required?? Just thinking

Agree with this mate, Salford were very good tonight. We looked flat and just couldn't get going and then started to make mistakes
Gutted cos I thought we might just get there this year.
We need to remember where we are though. We're 5th in the league and hopefully if we can get some of the injured players back ,we can re focus and move on.

Sorry but injuries or not the team we had out there tonight is better that what it came up with. Without wanting to single people out Grix in a prime example. Been good for most of the season but in the last two games he has been nothing short of terrible. And tonight eveybody else got the bug whether they are regulars or not. Big stage, chance to make a statement on tv and get the crowds coming back and we come up with that. Major opportunity gone begging.

Well, I'll part agree and part disagree. We can't take the numbers out now without consequences. However, Grix...I like what he gives us with attacking options but the high ball is a weakness. I have posted on this on previous weeks. I speak to a Hudds fan at my work in Beverley regularly and he warned me about this when I was waxing lyrical about his performances. I have also said I didn't feel full back was a priority with Jowitt playing as well as he did last year...but we seem to have binned the lad this season. (He had a chance at Warrington but understandably rusty he bombed a bit.) But Grix is getting increasingly flaky under the bomb and I think oppositions know this weakness, The good kickers are exposing him on purpose. It's an issue that needs looking at

| Injuries aside (and we've now got plenty), very poor performance tonight. Totally outgunned from start to finish! As mentioned previouśly, Grix has had a great year but his mistakes last week probably cost us a tight game & again tonight he just couldn't deal with the high balls. Time for Max to get a chance, he excelled in his last game. Also passing from acting half was poor, Sio also not good enough, although willing! It's ok having a big squad, but some of the stand ins just not good enough bar the odd game.
I'm really miffed as I'm sure everyone is, probably a good idea to put this to one side & move on!

I am very disappointed but am utterly delighted with our side this year. The elderly copule I sit next to in the East stand said the other day "This is the best Rugby League we've seen down here in years" and I would agree. We were bad by recent standards tonight yet still didn't completely fold. Thev spirit was still there if not the application. I was encouraged by the exasperation and care their faces showed on TV. We need to show some fan bottle and back their bottle

| Grix is a strange one, I thought he was going great and then he earned a 'rest'. since then he has come back a worse player.
On the other hand Jowitt stepped in to give him his rest and had a good game and must know be seriously considered to play again and give Grix another rest

| We have three days advantage over Hull who arguably have the toughest opponents, the injury/tired excuse won't wash if there's a repeat performance.

I was disappointed with both England and Hirst tonight. With the injuries we had they needed to really step up and were lacking for me. But as I have said...on the overall season, let's get over it and keep pushing for a high table place
