Hi Anthony, we've missed you posting on the wire board.

Quote: theking "What do you want them to do? Hold hands?? Quite clearly if the guys inside him aren't doing their job then what can Tom do about it?? Other than get sucked in which leaves space down the touchline.'"

I'm afraid if Hall plays inside him he may have to hold his hand!
Seriously, this winger defensive problem is not new at Wakefield is it? Peter Fox (and Ben Cockayne) came in for unfair criticism on here during his time with us because the centres weren't there. Does the winger come inside or stay on his wing? like someone else says he can't win can he? What can be said is that it isn't the wingers fault that suddenly he's left with a three man overlap against him!

We need to learn from cas what hard work can achieve. No matter who they put in a shirt they all perform the same . Take there wingers last night 1was relegated with London and is now probably the best finisher in superleague and the other was picked up from fev . They also have Gale , Mcmeekin, and cook who all were with a relegated team when they were picked up

Quote: housecat "No excuses tomorrow Salford only had 4 days and nearly beat Wigan'"

So you really think that there is no advantage in having 12 days to prepare, compared with 5, seriously ???
Warrington , despite their poor season last time, are one of Super League's big hitters so, again, "no excuses" is just plain bonkers.
They did us by 80 points in the same fixture last season and the bookies think that Wire are 24 - 26 points better than us.
Personally, I think it will be closer than this but a win at their ground would be stunning.

It really makes me laugh how we are making excuses before a ball has even been kicked how negative are we as a club . We should be more positive . It seems to me that most fans have a big chip on there shoulders and think that everyone is against us

It's about being realistic not negative. The fans view does not always reflect the views of the club. 22 to 26 points may seem a good start but we will have to wait and see.

That's very true - Powell is not only a great coach, but a very astute talent-spotter; or someone who does it on his behalf is.

I hate to say it, but Cas were brilliant to watch last night - the Hull pack are massive and they also have plenty of speed and strike; but Cas dealt with them and played with their heads up for the full 80 - perhaps only clocking off to let the big ginger ex-player crash over at short range. The cocky, confident way they play the game was personified by Solomona's late interception - brilliant.

And Luke Gale must be the best hb in the comp at the moment - he hardly puts a foot wrong.

Bastards.

Awful to watch lol but surely a realistic aim for us a club not flush with millions but a work hard ethic and a brilliant team spirit. It's only 2 yrs ago we were finishing above them . Just shows what can be achieved

I always thought Luke Gale looked promising but the teams he played at just didn't bring it out of him.
Going to Cas was a great move for him.

A lot of people say Danny Orr is very influential with the players too. They clearly make a good partnership whoever it is.

That Ben Roberts has got to be the most frightening stand off ever when he runs with ball .he took a while to settle in though at one point Finn was keeping him out of side lol
