| So will each club get a % of what we sell the BB's for?
Stinks... some stupid decisions by RFL... Getting a major sponsor that doesnt pay a bean, and taking on the debts, liabilities of a SL club losing 100k a month. RFL haven't got that much money to throw about. Set about a precedent really otherwise they may as well distribute a list of clubs the RFL consider worthy enough to be saved.

| The RFL must have worked very hard to reach this level of incompetence.

| Having read 6 pages of comments nothing else to say other than this stinks..... something doesnt ring true
For context
Have the SPL bought Rangers (thier joint biggest, most successfull club - 50% of the lifeblood of that league) - NO
Did the SPL clubs have sympathy for Rangers for their gross mismanagement - NO
Did the SL and RFL have pre-warning of this mismanagement but yet still puirchased odsal and offered the bulls a franchise - YES
Would SL or any other clubs have batted an eyelid had we, Cas, Salford, London - or when Crusaders went Belly up - NO
Absolute Joke on every scale.
SL and the RFL should take control of the club, sell their predominant assets to recoup as much of their investment (Odsal, Whitehead, Kearney, Bateman etc etc), solidify the personnel; directors and infrastrucutre and then move them to the championship next season from where they can submit an application for franchise.
RFL and SL

| Away fans ought to boycott the remaining Bulls games to show their disgust. Would like some comment from Elston regarding Wakefield's part in this sorry saga.

Sorry for Bradford supporters but they should have let things take their course. Who will they buy next? will they end up owning all the clubs? what a bloody mess.'"
Simple answer - Wakey (same as Cas Tigers) - we are "The Expendables".

| its a very cringe worthy decision and it does rub salt in the wounds but I'm not of the liking of Bradford not existing anymore.
as a proud Wakefield fan I can hold my head up knowing that we have a club that is on the up and that the RFL was willing to turn its back on us.
we can't afford to lose any clubs what ever size never mind a large supporter group like the Bulls.
it is a fact the game can't keep on with this hidden agenda of expanding the game while the clubs within our game struggle.
it might not be long before the franchise is disposed of and a new two tier league system is put in place
as for the Bulls I can forgive them for their sins

I agree - althoguh I'd suggest we were over a barrell ................
As a club we surely want Bradford in SL - I do ... what I do not want is a complete farce that completely undermines our game, sticks two fingers up at all other clubs who have incurred financial issues i.e. Widnes- Administration, complete rebuild and years fannying around in the championship (used them as they are a club with a superior tradition)
Worst of all this completely takes the mickey out of the fans and supporters of the game ... which lets face it is why RL exists

'cos if it is for keeps its deeply deeply unfair, not only to Wakey but to all the clubs that have gone to the wall in the past and to teams in c1 that are trying to get into sl the fair way.'"
Hail to that.
I will not attend anymore games at Odsal and I will also be boycotting all RFL related matches like world cup games, grand final, CC cup final and so on. Other sports are all laughing at the great game ATM.

| If our club voted for it, you can't call the decision 'bent' unless you are calling out club the same. Let's see Elston make a statement like Hetherington has explaining the reasons.

And that for me is the main problem with the game, we should be told by our club and the RFL just what the plan is and the reasoning behind it.
If you hide the truth/facts under a rug it will fester and go mouldy.
IMO the RFL will save the Bulls until the season ends and then if no one comes in will let them drop down and by doing so they'll keep that dodgy ABC lot away from the game.
But they ain't doing themselves any favours by not coming clean.

more like Red Hall Sacred Cows.....
What happens if a buyer doesn`t come forward by the end of the season?
Will the players be employed by the RFL while at Bulls?
What about conflict of interest?
I can`t get my head round all the possible ramifications of this, I`m sure wiser folk will make things clear in time.
(Wonder if the RFL would like to buy my Northern Rock shares, they`re worth nowt as well?)

| The game (The Greatest Game ? ) is in a real bad way
2012 BB in admin
2011 Crusaders, Whitehaven, us
2010 Celtic Crusaders, Keighley, Blackpool, Gateshead
2009 Doncaster, Rochdale
2008 Widnes
The fault lies entirely at the door of the RL, the way they have run the game over the last several years is a shambles.
And the Bulls situation is a complete farce.

According to twitter, weren't JE and AG golfing at a charity event at Oulton Hall all day yesterday when the "meeting" of clubs took place?
Don't know about SF.
Maybe Nigel Woods just rang all the clubs and told them what was happening and not to rock
