Shame, cracking little player who didn't get the opportunities he deserved with us, instead Mash favoured plodder Hood and utility Liam Kay. Thought our attacking structure looked better when he was on the field.

I think we've all been willing Harry on since his emergence during the covid season but in all honesty he just hasn't progressed as much as we hoped, if at all. 17 games this year and 30 in total.
The Keighley lad we've signed on isn't much older than HB, so lets see how he progresses.

He played over twenty games, how many chances do you need? But that's your opinion, and you might be right. What I have to slightly pull you up on is Hood, he is not a plodder IMO, we played way better when he was available, and he was far better than Bowes in every respect, but then he would be with all his experience.

Bowes will either sink or swim at Fev, hope he swims. But with Hood and Doyle at the club, and young Smith coming through, chances would have been slim at Trin, far thinner than last year.

Does anyone know the situation of the academy lads from last year such as Law, Smith, Windrow, Roberts. are they still signed up etc. and if any lads have stepped up to first team this year. Usually a couple do. Ideally need them sorted early to get a full preseason in

Might just be the making of him as well , plenty of top quality players have gone to lower clubs and come on in leaps and bounds , our very own Gale had a spell at Doncaster then later on got capped for his country . If he puts the effort in and gets a few breaks he will get there I’m sure

These were full time players last season and not academy lads.

All these still need replacing with some good standard depth.

Could argue Boothroyd has replaced Windrow as a second row option.

Yes sorry by academy lads I meant the players who had progressed from the academy to the first team. So your claiming all said players have left the club?

Agreed, he's shown some promise but a lack of game time has probably cost him a bit of development. He may have played twenty-odd games but there has been very limited minutes in many of those and he hasn't had chance to properly establish himself. He's well down the list now so a move is best for him. I hope he can kick on.
