| Quote Jizzer="Jizzer"Just seen his tweet. Think he's referring to RW, heard from 'bloke down the pub' that his re-involvement with this whole situation has ruffled some feathers at the club over the ground again. Just rumor, so read into that what you will.'"
There is definitely some truth in this. People have different ideas and agendas and TRB has every right to be concerned by RW involvement.
The problem is that for all his opinions and concerns and his i depth knowledge in one crucial way TRB and the rest are the same as you and I, they have no money.
At the end of the day it will take people like Mc, RW and Denise Jeffries etc to actually make this happen. We can raise objections all day long as to the injustices and inherent dangers of what happens but without money or power TRB and the rest of us can do little but hope for the best.
Unless there is a massive political upheaval in our favour we have to trust MC andJM and I hate to say it even RW (yuk).
If TRB or any of the others has a viable alternative I’m all ears.

| Quote JINJER="JINJER"But MC holds all the aces, the club own the ground and land. If RW wants to get involved and the club want him to get involved then surely it's on the clubs terms, not sure if the battle has got to TRB here, may be a little paranoid?
'"
I'm not sure MC holds all or in fact, any of the aces, all he holds at the moment is a 25-year mortgage.
However he/us do now have a stake in the future of the ground due to this, the ground is effectively now the clubs to lose whereas a years ago it wasn't even that.
To push the poker analogy, we don't have a winning hand by any means but we do have one that keeps us in the game, a lot of bluffing and snake eyes stuff yet to come I suspect.
The problem for people like IA and TRB is not so much paranoia but a certain inability to step back and accept the realities of the situation and that they are no longer a part of it. Understandable when you've been passionately involved with something for so long, it's hard to let go of the dream.
Truth is SWAG/Trust lost, for whatever reason justice did not prevail. What we now need to do as salvage what we can from the ashes. It must really sting for these people who know we have been shafted and that we are potless and thus powerless but it's done now and we may have to get in bed with the devil, life is like that.
PS, when I say shafted I mean in the past tense, I've absolutely no idea regarding the present.

I think we all need to be wary of any involvement with Sir RMW, after the shenanigans which finally made him leave the Stadium Trust. The Stadium Trust committee members are in a better position than the rest of us, to judge this man.

They are indeed, unfortunately, and this is my main point, they are pretty powerless. I wish they weren't but to me at least that's how it seems. I may, of course, be wrong.

| I'm struggling to work out how any connection to Wakefield FC could ruffle any feathers as the club would have the option of not stocking their produce. The presence of Wakefield FC produce suggests that feathers are not ruffled at all.
My only concern of any rise of Wakefield FC would be the Wakefield public getting a choice of how to support their city in sport and them choosing football over rugby, but then again that's a matter for the game as a whole.

| MC is no dummy and without his timely intervention at our club I seriously doubt we’d have a club that looks anything like the team that will be running out in a few short weeks.Football is indeed awash with money at every level so why not tap into this income stream for the good of the greater cause .Beggars can’t be chooses and I’m all for getting more sports involved down at belle vue if it involves extra revenue and potentially new fans .

Agree, I don't get the connection either, does he even have anything at all to do with the football? because I've never heard it before. Also MC spoke about the link ups being positive for the general Community aspect of the stadium, along with the other ones. The blokes turned into the proverbial bogeyman, we get some news about the stadium pressing ahead and planning ready to go in etc and then Walker's name pops up. He's nearly 80 now isn't he.

I’m only guessing here, but RW is behind the football club, if said football club managed to access grants for say £2M, then surely the football club would want/demand a fair share of the ground so ultimately Trinity wouldn’t own the ground 100%.

Is there anything to stop Trinity applying for a football grant given the game could be played their, especially with the affiliated ladies team also

| Wakefield FC is a Trojan Horse, designed for someone I find unsavoury, to get their hands on BV.
I am sure Mr. Carter knows what he's doing, but like some others on here, I am uncomfortable with any form of relationship with them.
