You'll enjoy it! Better than some in SL and ideally located for pre & post match supplies icon_biggrin.gifRUNK:

You aren't missing much in Salford.

Quote: Wakefieldite "How rude of yawnion and the Sale club!!! As far as Im concerned Salford are the head tenants/owners of their new ground and therefore they should have the first call on playingthere. Why can't Sale play at Stockport County's ground like they have been doing for so many years?? Especially considering that Stockport have an away game this Saturday.'"

Sale's normal matchday is Friday, they'd already switched to Saturday to accomodate Salford and as ESPN have chosen their game for live coverage (before Sky's announcement) can't change back again.

Best pub run in town is Thomas Burke - Great Wetherspoons boozer, White Lion, Boars Head - all withinn 50 yards, Litten Tree (Yates) George and Dragon, Goose, Hilton Arms, Waterside on the canalside is great if weather is good, Centurion 5 min walk to ground.

Alternativeley Leigh East and Leigh Miners clubhouses 5 min walk to ground, Pub on Atherleigh way at Parsonage retail park for family type food. On site Park Inn for food and ale, Morrisons if you fancy a picnic. Legends bar outside the ground and plenty of concourse type bars inside.

Final option will be after you turn Right off the A580 to the ground, take a left at the next lights, Robin Hood pub with big beer garden offers great food and ales.

If you have any early bird bus buses booked let us know on the site and we can help with more details.

1500 car parking spots free on site, Pennington Flash takes overspill at a fee, Miners car Park, Parsonage retail car park and town centre all give easy access.

No sure what Leigh's fixture arrangements are next Saturday, yet if free I'd like to think a few of their fans will pop along for a bit of a sing-a-long-a-Wakey!

No game waiting for play offs, I too can see a few hundred adding to the gate. Any sense and a deal would be struck with Leigh ST holders.
LSV is an all ticket venue so I would hope you get access details soon, tickets should be sent over, available from the ticket office on the day or online to be collected or posted.

Cannot wait for this!!

Can't believe the criticism towards Sky either....they run the show so we have to adapt.....nothing and I mean nothing would stop me going to this game.....even if I was due to get married myself (even though I already am)....it would have to be put off......who in their right mind organizes anything in the rugby calender anyway? d040.gif

I do feel a little for Salford fans, but if they are true fans of the game I'm sure they would travel that little extra distance anyway to watch their team.....if for some reason our final home game had to have been switched to Barnsley say....I'd have gone without question....

Who's to say they will miss out that much financially anyway.....it's on Sky for the reason that we have a foot in the play-offs......if we didn't have that foot in the play offs it would have been a nothing match for both teams and I doubt that many Wakey fans would have travelled over on a Friday night......

Now with the situation we're in I'm convinced we will take absolutely huge numbers over there....possibly 3-4 times as many as we would have done for the original fixture with nothing to play for.....

Lets pack the joint out with red, white and blue!!

As its all ticket, is there any news on when tickets will be available, and where we can get them from? Nothing on our website yet. Hopefully the shop in town will have them stocked too, and plenty of them - don't want to be heading off over the Pennines without the means to get into the ground.

I wonder how many we will get? Already excited about the prospect, the atmosphere and, fingers crossed, having eighth place confirmed and then the playoffs. icon_biggrin.gifANCE: eusa_clap.gif icon_biggrin.gifANCE: eusa_clap.gif icon_biggrin.gifANCE: eusa_clap.gif

However far we get, whether we finish on Saturday or continue on into the playoffs, its been a great last half of the season, and the prospects for the future seem to get better and better.

Tickets were on sale last week, no doubt they will be transferred from Salford to Leigh, can't see them exchanging tickets.

Bought 3 tickets today at the shop, the woman serving me just changed the date on the ticket and advised me it was going to be at Leigh. A few others buying tickets in there too so hope we can take a good number over to the dark side of the penines!!!

Sorry - is that the shop in town or the one at the ground? If its in town, I'm off in tomorrow for at least a pair of tickets. icon_biggrin.gif
