That's the conundrum we are in. Do we play it safe and build long term in the hope that we are in SL next season - or - go out with a bang and say hell to it. I like others have not totally given up of SL survival but equally see the need to prepare for NL1. With that uncertainty it's really hard for all concerned to know what to do. Franchising has some positives but also has some big negatives.

Nothing the players do will help the club gain a new license. Besides the players are able to move on if the club loses out. The supporters can not.

God you can be so obnoxious...having watched Wakefield for over 40 years I can say I have seen the worst and the best of them , so watching them in the Championship won't be a problem. However I don't think we need to throw the towel in so blatently just yet....if it wasn't for their league position what do Cas have that's so great?

I've not given in, far from it but you don't go forward by sticking your head in the sand. As has already been pointed out to you by me and others is that it doesn't matter what the players do - we are the club with the weakest franchise bid as far as any of us are aware. Castlefords league position has nothing to do with it, but their larger turnover. better junior set up and the fact that they at least have planning permission will probably be enough to turn it in their favour. Franchise is all about quite minor differences unfortunately. The only way Cas will be bellow us is if there is a huge hole in their bid, sadly we won't know that for a while.

I'd love it if RL was still decided on the pitch but surely you can see it isn't anymore.

We need to cut our cloth accordingly and plan for the future and at the moment the future look like not being in SL. How is that giving up, it's called adapt and survive.

In all honesty though i thought he did well in the games he played at the start of the season but i guess he was the person to miss out with BJ coming back. I think that if Hyde was 30 and BJ was 20 the Hyde would be in the team. I get the feeling that BJ is only in the team because he adds experience which is something that we are lacking. That said however i don't think BJ has done too bad since coming back from injury and as we all know put a dominant partner next to him and he is a class act.

True, but BJ only plays when BJ wants to. JK did tell Kieron he had it in him to be the next Broughie, but not without game time

Nah, dont be daft.....Hyde is a nice lad, he doesn't have a habit of driving mini-buses he doesnt own and he certainly isn't in debt.

On a serious note though...it is a bit of a strange comparison, they have no similarities in their playing styles!
