| Quote: vastman "Is Walker not a prop? They must think he's up to the job or why sign him and keep him?
Remember most of last year he was out injured rather than not being picked. Personally don't know if he's any good but I do know he is a prop
Walker sounds up for it this year in an article in the Wakey Express.
He has been told by JK where he needs to improve and Walker is very happy that JK 'believes' in him to get where he needs to be to be pushing for a regular spot.
Walker is only 24 and you are right about injuries Vasty, in fact when he signed for us, it was because he had fallen down the pecking order at Saints through his 'luck' with injury. His talent wasn't in question at Saints.

Everyone expected Leeds to recruit heavily and try to mount a serious challenge for a play off spot.
Their recruitment has been very, very low key and unless their youngsters from last season suddenly mature, it looks like an average season for them 6th/7th maybe.
They seem some distance away from Saints, Wigan, Wire, Hull.
I'm sure their fans will be more nervous, relatively speaking, than we are.

| Leeds seem to have shot themselves in the foot with the South Stand rebuild. Until they get planning for the land at Tingley or Weetwood (I'm guessing no chance on that one) they are footing the bill from club coffers.

| I heard a rumour about Caddick wanting to build on Greenbelt land at Tingley (junction of Thorpe Lane and Bradford Road - where the circus usually goes), but heard he is wanting to build housing there ? Is that what you are referring to ?

No Leeds own the green belt land at Tingley and Weetwood and want to sell it off to a housing developer.
That way the money from the sale will help re build the South Stand that`s what I am led to believe.

| Quote: Trinity1315 "I don't think we're being greedy at wanting another prop!
From last season we've lost Scruton and Anerson - both first choice props and replaced them with Hirst, who is untried at SL level (although if he's good enough for John Kear he's good enough for me) but that still leaves us at least one prop less than last season and don't lets forget our pack was beaten by bigger packs more than once last season.
Backs perform better behind a good strong pack. At the moment we probably have one of the weakest packs in SL - just my opinion!'"
Forgotten about Walker! Like I said above, Fifita and England never played together because one replaced the other, when England was injured. So that's like an extra signing right there. Atm we have England Fifita, Simon, Hirst, Walker with Arona & Annakin as back up if needed. Yes I'd love to sign a prop, a hooker and a s/r but lets be realistic.

| Quote: vastman "Is this a permanent signing or a loan?
In which case did Wane have a big say?
Personally I rate the kid though he's yet to really show it if we are honest. Much as I like signing local boys he didn't actually want to sign for us as a youngster - cuts both ways. You know the history better than most and it's not been straight forward. To me Williams looks a safer bet for now and the worst thing in my mind is playing Hampshire at 9 which IMHO would ruin him but with the Moore situation is where he'd end up.'"
Permanent 2 year deal. If you read the Wigan site Lenagan says this Quote: vastman "The aim was for Ryan to gain experience at Castleford this year before coming back to Wigan a more rounded Half-back. Instead we have someone who has not gained the Super League experience that we felt he required. With that in mind along with the emergence of other players such as Jake Shorrocks and Lewis Tierney we felt it was best for both parties for Ryan to leave Wigan and take up this opportunity with Leigh.'"

Yes just looking I forgot that England played in CF QF and then got injured after the Saints game, my mistake. All I remember is we we had injuries in the Props and we brought him over & it was around the time England got injured, Scruton was injured around the same time, plus Anderson missed about half the season.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a gig elsewhere in the NRL.
