We have three players who are recognise halves with one a real leader, about the same as everyone else.

Broughy legs have gone hes 36 ,he used to be a match winner but not now ,imop id but rocky and Miller at the halfs

Brough is fine and doesn't need the pace of others, its when his desire goes, that's when you need to worry.

Spot on Fc. I also think brough would be.the first to put his hand up and say unfortunately I'm done. He's still got plenty to offer and can definitely put players through gaps.

I am sorry but Brough does not put players through gaps and his passing can be described as erratic. We appear to be wedded to him playing when fit so I hope we do not regret this decision.

Brough can't put players through gaps who aren't there or did you not notice the chronic lack of support play last season? Again, doesn't suit the narrative. There was a reason for this, most of our better players were not available during this period, most notably Randall, Wood, Miller, Arona, Fifita and Ashurst, all players who make themselves available. Not easy when it's like that is it. I'm not that the others don't step forward but like all things, some players are better at certain things.

Wasn't his best season ever but what makes you think this one won't be? I've seen nothing to suggest Brough can't still cut it if he wants to but that applies to most players.

Sounds reasonable, we do have those quota spots available. Problem with our pack is that there are too many variable injury-wise. Fifita, Arona, Ashurst, Kirmond, all key players all coming back from long injuries with no guarantees or just plain injury prone. If you look at the squad through the last four years its injuries in the pack that have done for us every time.

You can't have too many forwards but then you can't have too many players full stop I suppose, but that's where the attrition usually is

Agree, as you say with the guys that are returning from injury and those that have picked them up this pre season, it's seems logical to maybe use at least one of those quota places, ideally both if money wasn't an issue. Both MC and CC have spoken in the past of bringing in someone from the NRL as being that extra bit of quality that we'd like and ateotd as you say you can't have too many good players at your disposal.
If we can keep our better forwards on the pitch for most of the season and with the new ones, we can start to form a strong physical pack because we know we've get the talent in the backs to make and then score tries

At the end of the day there is no point in bringing in forwards no better than we have got we need quality
