| Down to the forwards to have a big game looking at Leeds line up.
Would like to see:
Grix
Johnstone
Tupou
Arundel
Bishop
Miller
Hampshire
England
Wood
Huby
Ashurst
Batchelor
Arona
Kirmond
Randell
Pauli
Hirst
Tough to leave Finn out but I thought Hampshire had a good first half last week. We were on the back foot last week 2nd half so the half’s got little chance to do anything productive. Forwards need to be ripping into Leeds from the off imo.

To be fair, it was of the "Don't tell 'em, Pike" type of thing.

| Not surprised to see Finn and Grix rested.
They are key and influential members of our squad.
It must be remembered that both played for Ireland in the World Cup.
We will get the best out of this pair by being selective in the games that
they play.
We have very able deputies who need to be at their best when these
opportunities arise.
Looking forward to the next 2 games v Leeds and Saints.

| It's good to see CC giving the young lads a chance!
I would hate to lose such as Max Jowitt, and others who I see as the clubs future.
It's up to them now!

His in game kicking game has been nothing short of rubbish so far this year and his goal kicking just about okay. He's got it upstairs but it is starting to hurt us in attack with how slow he is physically in my opinion. I think it's time we started looking to the future and blooding Hampshire - the boy needs to be getting games and I think he deserves a shot all things considered.
I'd also be picking Batchelor/Crowther over Horo from what I've seen. Not that Horo doesn't lack effort. I can't fault his effort but he doesn't particularly stand out in attack and he's a liability in terms of discipline in defence.'"
I agree. I also know it's been a long season for Finn and Grix so letting the young lads come in for a few games and show what they can do won't do any harm and let Finn and Grix get some rest.
IMO I'd have Batch in for Horo, for all his effort he misses too many tackles, tackles Batch wouldn't mss generally.

Wakefield used a completely different approach to their players who were involved in the World Cup.
Other sides, notably Leeds and Wigan, rested their returning players far more than Trinity, whereas, Trinity, especially with our opening fixtures being more winnable, appeared to go for getting some points on the board, probably hoping to give the likes of Grix and Finn a rest during the season.
This will be crucial if we are in the mix at the end of the season.
However, getting the 4 wins to start the season had to be worth it.
It's all about getting the best from the whole squad, either when injuries force our hand or, man management and of course tactically.
It's a little too soon to be writing Finn off and he will come back fully refreshed when Chester puts him back in.

I'll be surprised if this isn't Finn's last season tbh.
I'm genuinely exited to see how Hampshire does against a top side. I think he could be brilliant but he needs games.

| Really looking forward to this game.
I do think we can, and will win this game, though not by the score of the OP, though there’s nothing wrong with positivity.
They do look weak down the middle, though Fafita will be a big miss for us.
I also saw on the squad list that there was no Finn, so I presume Hampshire went well at Hull. I was away last week, with limited WiFi.
Out of curiosity, how did he get on?

| Well, without wishing to put a curse on the weather, it's a cracking day for a game of RL.
Dry, no wind and nice and warm (relatively).
Got a good vibe for this afternoon.
24 - 16 to Trinity.
MoM Johnstone
Crowd 7400 (or capacity)
Come on Trin !

He went well and his running game caused problems but we need players to support him. One area we lack is our support play.

| I'm really looking forward to the game today.
I'm a big fan of Finn but it will be interesting to see Hampshire against Myler as they have a similar type of game.
Miller and Hampshire will have a lot more speed to track Myler and Moon down who are both runners.
Hopefully we won't suffer for the lack of Finn's brain.

Think you will be ok. Although it will be a good crowd, there is no mention of a sell out anywhere.
Mind you, I would get there early as the Rhinos fans struggled like hell with the ticketing system on Boxing day.
IIRC there was a 15 minute delay to KO and todays crowd should be better.
Get there early an sneak for a "straightener"
