Connor has had enough and doesn't want to play at Hull

Don't really understand why Dave K is copping flak. I think he's made some valid points and I cannot disagree with there being a question mark on Westerman's attitude as there has always been so to my knowledge. He is however a good quality rugby league player and I'm happy with the signing. I think he will imrove our team overall. I also think he does look like he's put some timber on.

Quote: Dave K. "Any examples Vasty?

Just this season, I've said very good things about Chris Green, Jez Litten and Hadley. In the past I've said positive things about Reece Lyne and Jordan Abdul.

Tom Briscoe and Lineham, another two players who I was disappointed to see leave.

If players deserve credit they will get it, if Westy had the attitude of Green or Pitts he would be one of the best back rowers in SL.

I'll ask again, why has Westerman had do many different clubs in the last few years?'"

I guess we'll see when he gets here.
We've done well with players who didn't show the right attitude at previous clubs.

We have others so he is not guaranteed to play.
But I like what he potentially can do for us so let's see whether Chester can develop it.

For me it’s more the case that this is his standard response to every player who leaves Hull despite his denying it.

As for Westermans attitude, he’s played a lot of games for a player with a bad attitude. In my experience players with a truly bad attitude as opposed to those who have a personality and a life outside the game don’t last as long as this lad. Just a thought.

You and Snowie took a shot at him first. You can't complain when he takes a shot back.
Just leave it alone now before I have to lock another perfectly normal thread.
This is about Westerman.

Looking forward to seeing him play for us - hope he stays injury free...... icon_cool.gif
and maybe he will fit in well at Wakefield as many others have who couldn't make their mark or fit in elsewhere........

I'm not a moderator.

Still waiting for examples, I've given you plenty of players who I've given credit to when they have left Hull.

in fact I think I've given a fairly balanced view of Westerman, saying he is a good player.

Finally (along with a couple of others) can see what I'm saying and doesn't resort to to calling me petty and talking about Connor (which I'm n sure has to do with this)

Agreed on other points,

What did raise my eyebrow a bit was when he was asked about looking forward to pre season training and he seemed to brush over the subject not the usual “can’t wait to rip into it “or words to that affect .likes been said a quality player who will only enhance our on field capability if his attitude and fitness are right .

I think we should all try to allow players who sign for Trinity, to start with a clean slate. To me, it doesn’t matter what reputation they have at previous clubs, it’s how they preform in a Trinity shirt. Give them a chance and we judge them as a Trinity player, not on previous reputations.

Shame you don’t defend me and a few Trinity fans with the same gusto, but hey we move on.

My missus always gives me a load of stick when we sign someone who I've slagged off prior to signature because all of a sudden I love 'em. icon_biggrin.gif Broughy being a good recent example.

There are some players out there who would take some acceptance though. Hardaker being a good example. Would never want us to take Greg Johnsone back.

Agree. Let's see how he goes. Will have my full support in the RW and B.
