I've looked on the BBC site for Webster's post match analysis and it's the same old same old, " we did some things right and were in it for a while and a million miles away in other areas " Yes James we know it's been like that for 11 weeks and nothing has changed to make us any better. In fact I think we're getting worse even with players returning from injury, you know, the ones you cried out for and used in your excuses from game 4 onwards. No excuses this time, you can't play that card anymore. This is the worst I've ever known in 40 odd years, unbelievable really when you consider the playing roster we have. And that is the most upsetting part of all this, we're not a great side but we've certainly got a few good players so what the hell is going on?

Yes I meant exactly what I said. It's not sustainable and I think it needs to drop to a level that more suits it's income streams. I have no idea why your looking for some sort of hidden meaning in my posts. As for do we deserve to be relegated, yes. Trinity have been a disgrace for the last 2 months, and have poor for much of the time they have been in SL. The only time we had a reasonable period of stability with relatively decent on field results was when we sold the ground and lived off a portion of the proceeds for a number of years.

I'm not looking into your post for hidden meanings, I simply take exception to your comment that we deserve to be relegated because we are not fortunate to have the finances afforded to other clubs. Had we had the finances we would have our own training facilities better coaches and back up staff, our juniors would be getting one to one training excelling their progress and so on and so on but we haven't as been identified by most on here our problem lies mainly with the coach and conditioner, so Carter made a mistake does that mean we deserve to be relegated, because of mistakes that have been made, should the long suffering fans be made to watch championship rugby just because you think it's what we deserve, you really ought to be ashamed of yourself, but then if you think it makes you look cool and interlectual carry spouting your rhetoric.

If we finish bottom and then lose out in the middle 8's then we deserve to be relegated, end of. The lack of finances, ground situation, poor decision making at the top, etc along with the poor coaching and conditioning will have all contributed to us being in that position. We will ultimately end up where we deserve to be.

That's the point. We don't have the finances to be any better because we don't have the support to fund/build the club in the absence of a rich backer. We struggle because so few people give a sht about the club. Richardson, Glover Carter? It makes no difference. Coaches come and go. Trinity still struggle.

There's nothing cool about it. Just pragmatism. We don't have the support to fund a super league team.

If, as the common view appears to be that Carter made a mistake in giving Webster a 3 year deal then I don't have visibility of him currently taking action to correct this mistake.

As I see it, if nothing changes we will go down. Rent will become a larger burden than it is now since our income will be less. As a result we will not be able to afford a squad or coaching staff to make a team competitive enough to be pushing to get back into Super League. I fear an irreversible downward spiral until there is a significant injection of finances into the club.

There is a risk of avoiding this scenario if significant action is taken now. I genuinely think that on paper this squad is good enough to earn the right to remain in Super League. On current performances and direction they are barely worth of mid-level in the Championship.

In terms of responding to mistakes I think the timing of the response is also crucial. The response needs to be now or it will be too late to gel the team under new leadership.

What ever the outcome at the end of the season, whether we finish bottom of the middle 8 or we lose the play off and we are relegated then we will get what we deserve, we've never had the finances to compete for a long time now but Iv'e never heard anybody say before that we don't deserve to be where we are, it's been a continual struggle year on year and I can't see anything changing any time soon, but should we survive relegation at the end of the season ought we to say to the RFL let Leigh or Bradford in because we're skint and don't deserve our place in #sooperdooperleague I personally don't think so and until we are relegated, we like other clubs before us what have suffered financial difficulties reserve the right to our place on merit.

Webster obviously can't motivate this team, how on earth does he expect to turn up for the Middle 8 games and turn them into a team to beat Leigh etc overnight?
