He's brought young players through and is developing them as quick as he is able, the team is doing ok and if not for a few individual errors could be comfortably inside the 8. He has brought in some fantastic over seas players and British ones and has them playing entertaining stuff. He has been no where near the liability we were told he would be by every man and his dog in Hull. The players obviously like him and enjoy the environment he has cultivated, why would players sign up for long term deal if they felt he was poop? Some people have short memories from where he has brought this team to. I'm saying he's done a good job, it's not perfect but he's done outstanding with the resources he has. Keep it up RA.'"
Not a fan of Agar but he's got the team to be where I just about expected. He doesn't help himself with bizarre selections like Lyne on the bench and not using him.

| Quote: upthecats "They had 4 sets in the first 3 or 4 minutes of the game.....18 consecutive tackles if I remember correctly.....they also forced us to drop out 3 times in the first half.....they had plenty of possession in good position but for the most part our defence was very good.....
Looking at their tries......they scored 2 from poor passes....both may even have been marginal forward.....poor passes anyway in the fact that they hit the floor before being picked up......a length of the field breakaway when we were pressing.....not the first time it's happened either!!
Then there was the farce try from Ablett which definitely shouldn't have been a try.....definitely offside and tackled Smith without the ball....high aswell.......
Rob Burrow's try was irrelevant really....
We scored 3 well executed/taken tries and one soft one.....we were the better side on the nigh and should have won'"
Definitely Ablett offside as shown on the highlights and 2 Leeds forward passes for 2 tries in the second half - don't know what the 'officials' were watching, perhaps the Dolls

Don't know about that but picking Lyne and then not playing him makes a bit of a muppet.
Matty Wildie is fully fit and ready to play, now none of us are SL coaches but what option would you have plunged for last night.

| If Wildie wasn't in the 18 getting warmed up I fail to see what other option he could have used when Kirmond pulled out with 2 minutes to go. This obviously wasn't in a game plan and hindsight is a wonderful thing. Thak god he didn't utilise him at hooker or anywhere else he has never played or it really would have been exploited. I think we can agree that the coach, knowing a win puts us in the 8, Didn't pick Lyne knowing he wouldn't play him.

Problem was Al we only had 18 men doing the warm up (we had 19 at Leeds)
Kirmo pulls out so Agar has no where else to go. I am sure if Wildie or another forward had warmed up then
Lyne would not have played.
However you could also argue, why not warm up your full 19 man compliment ?

I assume Lyne was in as extra man in case Collis had a problem. He was obviously not 100%.
The fact that Kirmond dropped out was obviously not planned so he suddenly had a problem with subs forced on him.
Personally, I'd have done exactly what he did. If he'd put him on it would have disrupted the forwards and put a big hole in our defence.
It nearly worked.

| Quote: bren2k "Showed our limitations last night I'm afraid - no complaints at all about the effort, but our squad is paper thin and some of our players lack the ability to make the right decisions in a tight situation; our game management is haphazard and we don't have the ability to win when a game becomes an arm-wrestle. The only way to fix that is with recruitment, and I'd say a quality 6 should be top of the shopping list. I'd also suggest that we're short at least one pacey winger - if the rumours linking us to Adam Swift have any basis in reality, that could be a decent straight replacement for Foxy.
On the positive side, our forwards once again out-muscled the Champions, with Amor, Poore and Raleigh dominating the Leeds pack. I also thought Aiton played a bit more freely and as a result, made us more unpredictable from DH - if he continues to play like that, he could be a force next season.
Overall, I'd suggest that Agar has wrung about as much as he can from this group of players; this off-season is crucial in terms of trimming some dead wood and bringing in two or three key individuals to take WTW to the next level.'"
Agree with all of that and we are so near to making the next step. It would be such a shame if our financial problems prevent us doing this as we are so close. It is also frustrating how much we are paying Mellars , and if only we had his wage to use paying towards a decent stand off.

| It nearly worked sums up last nights game, however running with 16 players in scorching temps is utter madness, how that came about is open to debate but its Agars job to bring a squad to the field and he failed last night.
Don't think Matty is very happy tbh, still when he leaves it'll be of is own choosing no doubt, thats how it works i believe.

| Having encountered the attittude of many wakefield fans, one get's the impression they feel they are the best team around, constantly held back by the referee screwing them over.
Never in the history of mankind have so many chips, of such an enormous size, rested on so few shoulders.

Utter e. Irony overload!
So out of what 7000/8000 Trinity fans a few have made a comment about calls that in their opinion were wrong. Get a bloody grip it happens on every forum, especially in tight games. You could really do with jumping off the high horse, it's a long way down. What makes it an even more hilarious post is, have you seen you're own forum after a loss.

| reading your post again poptart it seems you meant collis wasn't completely right but if that was the case it seems we had two players liable to break down, a big risk in my opinion
