They have some good young players with another year under their belt like Towse who I hoped we would go for) and the young half.

With Dagger that’s a pretty handy half pairing and options at full back I would say. Probably as good if not better than what we have presently at half back.

Dagger and Myler are a better half back pairing than Lino & Gale IMO

Of course a lot will depend on who they’ve got to play with and in that regard our half’s are better served by the runners they’ll have around them.

Going to be a cracking league which is great to see. Myler is a top signing for the Championship, Dagger and him will be excellent. We are building nicely and I think it must be obvious to our very experienced coaching staff that we need a quality 6.

So the answer is bringing in another 33/34 year old player. I’ll leave Powell and co to bring in who the believe is the best option for our position. Take a look at Wigan and St’s and see how many plus 30+ they’ve had in their teams this year.

I’m well aware of the age of certain members of our team. Would you really want a 34 year old and 36 year old playing in our halves next year?? Jerry is a great signing even at his age, he’s genuinely been world class, has Myler? Each to their own it’s all opinion, but I don’t contradict myself at all.

Don't think so. Kane Linnett has announced his retirement so I expect Rovers will be announcing the signing of Tanginoa soon.

Having to replace Fifita is bad enough but having to replace Tanginoa too and the depth for a number of positions will prove a challenge.

Looking forward to seeing a few big signings incoming soon fingers crossed.

Fifita was one of the best props in Super League on his day. Its not going to be a like for like replacement for the Championship.
Same with Tanginoa......though his involvement was limited so we are replacing what he could do rather than what he did.

I don’t rate Myler and don’t fancy a 34 year old with his legs gone running around with Gale or Lino. I’d prefer to have someone younger, I’d even take Miller over him. Least when Griffin slowed down they moved him to SR and he’s been great, and Jerry will eat metres out of our half alongside Thornley. Myler just isn’t for me but I respect your opinion.
